With all these versions of this bill and no one able to read all of them, they can put anything they want in there. Who knows what else is lurking? Maybe something like, “This republic is dissolved and Barack Obama is dictator for life.”

The President can end it with on Executive Order.

It then takes a super-majority to over-ride him.

Stick that in your pipe and smoke Pippy Long Stockings (Reid).

No F...in doubt!

Dingy harry ain’t the sharpest knife in the drawer and him and a few others hiding out in the backroom (probably the ballerina and broken axlerod) daring each other to “Top This”, will probably be the death of this monstracity. Just because they want something don’t mean it will ever actually happen.

Now that the cat is out of the bag, reckon there will be any dem Senators to jump ship?

“These people are traitors - ALL OF THEM!!!”

You did forget to mention that we are at WAR. Doesn’t that make the Democommies eligible for the death penalty?

we’ll just have to elect more republican conservatives.

“Certainly, if the citizens sit on the sidelines. Are we willing to say he is just a voice on the sidelines? Or will we offer our support and our help?”

“We” as in the GOP, or “we” as in private citizens? If the latter, the answer is yes.

Thanks Daisyjane. I remember Slick Willie pushed through a retroactive tax increase early in his first term. That was clearly Unconstitutional but, as well as I remember, everyone except a few conservatives just shrugged and let it go.

Ever since FDR the Left (Democrats) has been trying to stack the Supreme Court to their advantage while the conservative Republicans have insisted on those who would simply do common sense interpretations of the Constitution. The reason is the Left intends to simply ignore the Constitution and do things any way they want.

This may be an example.

I hope the Founding Fathers are spinning....

I think we need to resurrect the Sons of Liberty.

and I hope our constitutional lawyers are working. Did you hear Orrin Hatch’s missive on the floor of the Senate a couple weeks ago? I think he had his Wheaties:

a thing of beauty, it says here. :)

The article is "Making the Death Panels Permanent": RedState.com (scroll down a bit)

Excerpts from article:

But here is what everyone saying this is no big deal is missing: to my knowledge and the knowledge of those who I have consulted with on this issue, there has never been any legislation passed by the Congress with a prohibition on future Senates considering changes to previously enacted laws or regulations...

-snip-

Lastly, why in God’s name would the Senate Majority Leader want to make the Death Panel regulations the only thing in the Obamacare legislation that is not subject to amendment, repeal, or change by the United States Senate?!

Reid, IMO, wants to model himself after Hitler with the same goals.

all they would have to do is attach an amendment to any bill, defunding the whole thing.

And now, apparently, they could add language stating that to reinitiate funding would require a unanimous vote of the Senate....

I had it open in another window and when someone said it was gone, I checked and it really was gone, so I just saved the page and also copied the text.

But it did come back later. Probably was overloaded, which sometimes causes a ‘page missing’ message.

Just checked it and it is there now.
