As per senators, that’s how it used to be until we changed how they were installed into said seats. They originally were to represent “the state’s” interests as they were appointed by each state’s legislatures, but now that they are directly elected by the people, not the state legislatures, just like the representatives are, that just isn’t true anymore.
They have to face the ballot box. But in the meantime, they are virtually unrestrained. That's how our system works.
They are supposed to represent those who elect them. That’s what a representative Republic is. They aren’t doing so. You can argue until the cows come home but they are not representing their electorate. They are not elected to rule over us.
A few suggestions:
1. Everyone show up in D.C. on the day of the State of the Union Address. I cannot find the date, but it is typically in January (February during the first year of a new President’s term). We have to ruin their annual slap-yourself-on-the-back party of arrogance. From now on, we do not allow “business as usual” to go unchallenged.
2. If you cannot be in D.C. (true for most of us), go to the local offices of your Senators and Representatives. Give them a copy of the items posted at http://pushbackuntil.com/Mandates.htm. There are links to Word and pdf files near the bottom of the page.
3. Run for an elected office. If you will not or cannot run, donate eight hours and $50 to one of the candidates in your district. Have them read the mandates in (3) above and get them to commit to these principles.
4. Call radio talk shows - liberals, conservatives, whatever - and encourage them to publicize the protests.

Agreed 100%. The time for phone calls,faxes, speeches, e-mails, and all of that other bullshit is over. Now...now we enact a plan to travel to D.C. to shut the city and highways down to the Capitol. I am talking about 3 million people clogging up the roads and pitching tents right in D.C. and refusing to leave until we have resignations and a true revolution. The D.C. police force can handle maybe 20,000 people...add to that national guard of what? 20,000 more brought in? 40,000 versus 3 million or so just getting out of their cars and parking them in the middle of the road?
Time to get old school Ukraine and Europe here...these are the kinds of blockades that happen there and guess what...THEY WORK. SHUT THE SYSTEM DOWN WHEN THEY GET BACK TO D.C. NOT WHEN THEY ARE ALL GONE ON A WEEKEND. WE DON’T LEAVE UNTIL THEY LEAVE. PERIOD.
It’s possible He may have with the nation, but He never leaves His people. He is with us always no matter what we have to go through.

Good for you. The newspapers are close to being dead along with the magazines. We have to avoid any lib companies and kill TV - that includes Disney aka ABC News.
Sadly most people want their balls games and reality TV so we may end up all being serfs. The Obama TSA/ACORN Police will come for the suckers and they will still be clinging to their clickers. TV is so meaningless and wasted time.

The SENATE MAJORITY LEADER’S OFFICE JUST HUNG UP ON ME!
I called trying to get to Schumer/Gillibrand. The operator answers and says NOBODY is in the office. I asked to be transferred to someone who will convey a message to the Senate - any member and was connected to the SENATE MAJORITY LEADER’s office. “I am a taxpayer and I want to express my OUTRAGE that this is being rammed down our throats” I didn’t get past ‘OUTRAGE’ before he hung up on me!
well duh....i learned that in 8th grade government.....the question still remains....how to stop them!!!!

Merry Christmas my friend... and know that some of the finest things and the greatest joys in life come from great adversity... I would rather fight and die in a struggle for righteousness than to live a quisling’s life, which is what a majority of our government has become... Christmas they cannot have, their spirit cannot comprehend it. Peace did not come to earth by mere proclamation but through the blood and anguish of the most righteous soul to ever live. Knowing that soul makes Christmas comprehensible, and peace possible in all circumstances. Peace does not mean absence of struggle, it means purpose in struggle.
KEEP BUYING AMMUNITION IT HELPS THE ECONOMY!
Well, my suggestion is that we call for volunteers to assemble in each and every state and rotate in and out and supply about 200,000 people from each state (200,000 X 50 states = 10,000,000 people) carrying lit torches and pitchforks and we protest noisily outside the White House, the Capitol building, and every congressional office building and major federal building in DC 24 hours per day seven days per week for as long as it takes.
Shut ‘em down. Make it impossible for them to work.
And do it simultaneously in each state capitol and local congressional office. Call it a nationwide citizen’s first amendment strike against government tyranny.
The first amendment, use it or lose it.
We lose the first, assemble for the the second.

Oh joy. Just when the DNC’s support freefalls, then people want to resort to violence and prop the DNC back up.
Perhaps not the stomach for it, however, they have a duty according to our Declaration of Independence.
