Evening, Kathy. Happy Chanukah #7.
Beautiful thread, Kathy! Thanks for all your hard work, getting us ready for Christmas and the weekend! (((hugs)))
In my early years as a pastor, I served in small churches where finances were often tight. Sometimes our family finances felt the weight of that pressure. On one occasion, we were down to the last of our food and payday was still several days away. While my wife and I fretted about how we would feed our kids in the next few days, our doorbell rang. When we opened the door, we discovered two bags of groceries. We had not told anyone of our plight, yet our provider God had led someone to meet that need.
This reminds me of the Old Testament account of Abraham when he was asked to sacrifice his son Isaac. At just the right moment, God provided a ram instead. Abraham called this place Jehovah-Jireh, The-Lord-Will-Provide (Gen. 22:14). He is the One who still cares deeply for His children.
Jesus said, Your Father knows the things you have need of before you ask Him (Matt. 6:8). He is constantly caring for and seeking the best for usa reminder that in times of hardship, need, and fear, we have Someone who cares. Peter wrote that we can cast all our cares upon Jesus, because He cares for us (1 Peter 5:7). We can turn to Him in our time of need.
Very nice, thank you so much!God bless you
TO THE
Good morning, Everyone. Good morning to our
AWESOME
Military, our Allies, and their families.
(a unique design)
THANK YOU FOR ALL YOU DO!
Thank you, Ma, for preparing the Canteen for todays activities.
Boy, every time I see a picture of the homecoming greeting for one of our heroes, I feel such a tightness in my chest and pricklies behind my eyes. Sniff......
That picture of the boy and his dad in living proof why dads are very, very important.
Now for our local DC Metroland weather report
~ Today.... Sunny. Highs in the upper 40s. Southwest winds 5 to 10 mph.
~ Tonight.... Increasing clouds. Lows in the mid 30s. South winds around 10 mph with gusts up to 20 mph.
Well, I'll be keeping my eyes on the weather channel and local stations to see the direction of that storm. We've been told to expect at least 7 inches, and possibly more in my area. Got to stock up on snacks since I'll be in front of the fire and watching movies. LOL
I'm going to try to sneak out a little early so I can make a few stops on the way home.
Time for me to make my rounds. But, you stay right where you are. Keep your eyes on your monitor. Cause...............I'll be bock
Now remember, the Canteen is ALWAYS
So, come on in and sit for a while. There's always plenty of coffee, pancakes, conversation, silliness, and plain old BS
REMEMBER THEM
DEFENDERS OF FREEDOM
(see what our kids sign up for? UGH!)
