From Xerox ~ Let's Say Thanks to our Troops
Simple. Easy. Involve your kids.
We can each send thanks every single day.
My friendly IT guy unblocked the 3 sites I requested. No fotki, etc, but my own sites and FREE REPUBLIC!! I promised to be a responsible internet user. He said I already was...that made me feel good.
I did take my laptop and the internet thingy to work...connected easily. So now I have back up if need be, altho I’m NOT taking my laptop back and forth each day. Man, it’s heavy!
I took my car into the fixit shop this morning. For the last week it has decided that it can quit without warning, anywhere it feels like it. This morning it decided to quit, on the way to the mechanic, in one of the busiest intersections in town, in mid turn onto another street. Heart pounding, it started first try and I was able to get it into gear and moving before it quite had time to quit again. He gave me a loaner almost out of gas. No problem, only a little way to and fro. He called me at lunch (we were in Lonestar...the Finance Department boss took the department out to lunch).
The E*V is bad...some kind of valve that recycles (?) the gas. All I know is that he couldn’t find one in Alaska...one will get here Monday. Sooooo....not knowing anything about what I was driving...a Ford Explorer, I took the afternoon off to get gas, figure out the heater, defroster, adjustment of the driver’s seat...most uncomfortable to begin, but I finally figured out all the buttons, etc. AND, it fits in the garage....all the snow and ice will be melted by morning, and it will be warm.
Thanks, AZ, for the red, white, and blue tribute.
