Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Chris Henry died Thursday morning after he was seriously hurt during what police are calling a "domestic situation" in Charlotte, North Carolina on Wednesday.
The team's receiver fell out of the back of a pickup truck Wednesday during what police described as a domestic dispute with his fiancee. Henry was found in the road about eight miles north of downtown Charlotte "apparently suffering life-threatening injuries," according to Charlotte-Mecklenburg police. Police spokesman Robert Fey said officers were stationed near the 26-year-old Henry's hospital room.

Seriously, this is tragic. Kids lost their father.
His wife will serve time for this. Rumor is that she shook him out of the truck. Say goodbye to your kids, Loleini. I hope this tantrum was worth it.
Sometimes a guy’s demons are too much to overcome. On another note, when a chick’s mad at you, and she’s driving, jumping into the back of the pickup is a bad idea. Run the other way.
Domestic situation. Maybe had Tiger Woods died everyone wouldn’t have been saying he “deserved” to get hit with a golf club while driving a car.
Not necessarily. If it can be shown that he was threatening her in some way, and she feared he was going to harm her, and that was why she was trying to shake him out of the truck, then she may get off for self-defense. (I’m not a lawyer, and I didn’t stay at a Holiday Inn Express, but I do watch a lot of Law & Order).
Self defense by the driver against someone in the BACK of the pickup? Only on tv, unless he had a gun.
The article says “raising three children” - are they all his? I realize he’s 26 and in some neighborhoods he could be getting close to being a grandfather, but that seems young to me to have three children.
Will charges be files on Thursday or Friday? Hopefully, the police are investigating this. It certainly looks suspicious.
PING!
If she was hurt, she could claim fear. Henry was trouble.
Maybe hers from previous marriage ?
Props for continuing the regrettable FR tradition of cracking wise over sad situations. /s
I’m curious. What’s the motivation? (Assuming you are not a 13 year old.)
Heartbreaking end. May he rest in peace.
They were his trophies with her. Oldest is 4 I think.
It’s a tragedy. His children losing their father and from what I read, he had finally turned things around. He was not associating the same people. He seemed to finally be on a path to success and away from the criminal element. As a lifelong Bengal fan I am saddened today by this news.
I said it is tragic.
RIP
