A cold-hearted animal killer stabbed his mother-in-law's feline to death with an umbrella, and then told relatives: "It was only a cat, who cares?" lawyers said Friday.
Lordtyshon Garrett, 31, terrorized the 9-pound pussycat by poking and beating her, leaving the pet with injuries as severe as if she had fallen off a high-rise building or been hit by a car, animal experts said.
In a futile attempt to fight back, the 4-year-old feline, Madea, bit and scratched the plastic umbrella. The ASPCA found the cat's DNA on the umbrella and used it to pin the crime on Garrett, whose DNA also was found.

We’re talking about those who aim for a speedy and more or less humane demise of a critter in order to use its carcass for some good purpose. No comparison to this homie.

I would hate for them to use the same logic against someone who goes to church or something else.

But today it is clear (there are solid links) that killing of animals who can’t protect themselves is a pathological trait. It almost inevitably leads to the same treatment of humans.

Your first link gives no statistics on any of this—it’s all pop psychology, which obviously is wrong if hunters and butchers don’t kill people.

Because love excludes animals. They (animals) are just chattel, like furniture. Kill them, stuff them, put them on the mantle. So much easier, and you don’t get that “cat smell.” And the money saved on food — hey, don’t get me started.

This sounds like a case for which the cops knew who to look at from the start — cat’s owner immediately knew who was trying to get at her, instant probable cause. Can’t compare that to anonymous rapes.
So, would you elect an animal for our President, or to perform surgery on you? I mean, you sound like animals aren’t animals when you say, “Spend 25 years with a companion and say “it is just an animal.”
Maybe after 25 years they can drive cars or fix a good meal. Maybe they can play cards with you and win. Apparently, you think they are more than animals.

God allows us to tend to our wrong-doers, but God knows only humans have souls and every soul can be saved.

That only holds true for Israel, a theocracy, for whom those books of the Bible stand. What the rest of the governments do is up to them.
I’m for capital punishment, but God wants all people to come to Him. However, if we justifiably kill another, God will judge us in the appropriate context to that situation. If we murder someone, obviously He judges us in that context, too.
