Because love excludes animals. They (animals) are just chattel, like furniture. Kill them, stuff them, put them on the mantle. So much easier, and you don’t get that “cat smell.” And the money saved on food — hey, don’t get me started.
This sounds like a case for which the cops knew who to look at from the start — cat’s owner immediately knew who was trying to get at her, instant probable cause. Can’t compare that to anonymous rapes.
I bet this case went to the head of the line.
