It seems the "Al Gore effect" (Record low temps or snow) is in full force yet again.

THE GORE PARADOX EXPLAINED
Like me, this blog will be anti-Idiotarian in outlook. And since idiocy seems to be a booming commodity in an otherwise down market these days, it's likely I'll never lack for something to write about.
However, I suspect a good deal of my posts will be devoted to exposing the particular idiocy behind the environmental movement, which is also the subject of my screenplay Global Village Idiot.
If nothing else, it'll make my work go quickly; exposing the moral and philosophical idiocy of the "intellectuals" behind environmentalism will be like shooting sea-kittens in a barrel.
It's no surprise, then, that my first real post will harpoon the considerable blubber of former US Vice-president Al Gore, the Moby Dick of environmentalist sea-kittens and American political asterisk, who, in future generations, will enjoy the same degree of fame as the distinguished names of Horatio Seymour, Alton B. Parker and Rufus King.
Gore traveled to Washington, D.C. last week. As you might expect, the recently-discovered Gore Effect traveled with him. Our nation's capitol and much of the south was suddenly beset by plunging temperatures followed by freezing rain, inches of snow, and an Alpine glacier. I may be mistaken about the glacier, but not by much.

Off topic, but I’d have guessed the record low was Dec 1944 during the Bulge. It seemed northern Europe had one awfully cold winter back then.

this eerie video is the opening spot for the Copenhagen Climate Conference. It's like a political version of the Wizard of Oz.

Perhaps the Gaia worshipers should consider the possibility that Gaia LIKES CO2 and doesn't want emissions cut.

Don’t worry, the “value added” numbers will show Copenhagen had the warmest winter ever... Just like the last decade was the “warmest” ever... Even though the earth has been cooling since 1998... It’s amazing what a PHD lets one do...
