Free Republic is a fringe right-wing Christian fundamentalist site

Free Republic is a fringe right-wing Christian fundamentalist site... or so they say... and they might even be right.

We don't go for any of that godless left-wing big government socialist malarkey. And we do put our faith and trust in God, not government. We are pro-God, pro-Life, pro-Family, pro-Country and pro-Liberty.

We do not believe that government or science knows what's best for us or our children. We will make our own decisions thank you very much.

Every once in a while some group of posters get together and try to bend Free Republic to their will. Now, we tend to be pretty free-wheeling around here and will take a lot of guff and a lot of obnoxious insults from a lot of people, but eventually a breaking point is reached.

For example, when a group of RINO lovers recently banded together to try to force FR to accept an abortionist/gay rights RINO as our presidential candidate, they soon found themselves on the outs.

And a few years ago a group of evolutionists tried to force FR over to their way of thinking and they soon found themselves on the outs.

FR is a pro-God, pro-Creator, pro-Life, pro-Liberty site.

And now we have yet another group of Darwinists trying to have their Darwinist way with us. Well, as I've said before what doesn't kill us will only make us stronger.

Darwin Central has again declared war on FR. They have ping lists and email lists and will try to pull away as many FReepers as they possibly can. So be it. Those who would rather go with Darwin, please go. I sure as hell won't try to stop you.

FR will remain a pro-God, pro-Life, pro-Liberty, pro-Creator conservative site.

We wholeheartedly believe that our unalienable rights are a gift from God our Creator not from man or government. And no man, no government will ever deprive us of same.

Keep your powder dry.

Well said, sir or ma’am. We are to be in the world but not of it. That right there makes us “fringe” these days.

"Free Republic should be a mainstream right-wing Christian fundamentalist site"

And exactly who are you to tell me I need to be a Christian Fundmamentalist to post here? Maybe that's one of the issues some of us have with "Christian Fundamenaltists". BTW, you're not a majority in the country.

Mellow out - I took the headline and changed "is a fringe" to "should be a mainstream". I'd guess that most fundamentalists don't consider me one of them, but I didn't consider that the point. My point was that being pro-America (the distinguishing feature of non-trolls at FR) should be mainstream rather than fringe in our country. If you prefer:

"Free Republic should be a mainstream right-wing Christian/Jewish/Libertarian fundamentalist and/or strict constructionist pro-Constitution site ... including Canadian supporters of these values and like minded individuals of other nationalities ..."

I thought my original words made essentially the same point more concisely in context. Apparently, I was wrong.

And I have more books on religion in my library than anything else. Big deal. It has nothing to do with my faith.

Religion and faith are two different things. I suspect you have been burned by religion.

And you are correct to assume that I am NOT a relativist. Not all roads (or philosophies) lead to heaven.

I will be praying for you.

“Well, as I’ve said before what doesn’t kill us will only make us stronger.”

Actually, new research shows that Nietzsche was a dilbert, and what doesn’t kill us messes us up really bad for a long time, and we’re lucky ever to get it together again.

“FR will remain a pro-God, pro-Life, pro-Liberty, pro-Creator conservative site.”

And thank God for that. I just read the comments on an article about O’Reilly and that “Law and Order” TV show over on some lamestream media site. Wudda buncha leftard maroons.(Shudder)

“Keep your powder dry.”

Okay.

This may get me kicked, but I have to be honest — I am only 64.375% fringe right-wing Christian fundamentalist. The remaining 35.625% is composed of water and chocolate chip cookie dough.

You offer the same confusion I have. And apparently we are on the same page in the adaption of a sub-species as opposed to a whole new species.

genetics is a fascinating subject and true you can eventually get a offspring different from both mother and father...I think it was George Washington Carver that started to 2 dominate species of pea's, (for instance, Green smooth and yellow wrinkled) since both were dominate strains, it took many crosses (years) to get a yellow smooth and green wrinkled pea. Careful fertilization and records were necessary.

On the farm I bred a wild turkey (that flew into my turkey pen where I had my Royal Palm turkeys) I Tom and 3 females. The wild tom and my palm tom got into a bloody fight and I had to put on heavy gloves to go in the break them loose from each other. It was a bloody mess, but I threw the wild turkey into the back room of the chicken coop and gave him a female to breed with....All of the offspring looked like the wild turkey, but the second generation came out with both royal Palm and wild turkey. Plus a nestles cocoa brown solid one..

With such genetics your breeding color variations not new species..
