Not too often, thank God. The last I recall for sure was the beat down of the Bonus Army back in the 30s, which saw Hoover out of office, which gave us FDR, a SAD day for America. MacArthur was Army Chief of Staff at the time and Majors Eisenhower and Patton were intimately involved in that debacle.
Any others since then that you are aware of?
Please explain what you mean.
Totally agree. I try to tell people who think they’re prepared, ready to party like it’s 1776: you won’t know what hit you.
Re: Oathkeepers: “You’re going to be the first ones that get the knock at the door from the men with the yellow letters on their jackets”.
Bring it on, then. I wish people like you would stop instilling fear about being an American. Just buy some lead and move on. You have the right, so use it! Stop living in fear and help defend the Constitution.
Are they from RAND ARROYO?
New Orleans 2005, Los Angeles 1992, Chicago 1968, Detroit 1967, Little Rock 1957, to name a few from the last half-century.
I see your point and agree with it. It's so frustrating at times. What if they don't fire a shot but quickly pass "the Big 5" as I call them: Health Care, Card Check, Cap and Tax, Amnesty and Gun Control - do we, as I mentioned, just sit idly by and watch it happen? I guess that's what November, 2010 is for. I tell you, if my guy/gal is ahead by 10 points the day before, and ACORN and the other groups elect the other guy, then all bets are off. I still don't know how Bozo won MN after they found out ACORN gave him 40,000 votes. Still don't know why that didn't go to the MN Supreme Court. . Just really frustrated here with all this daily news. .
While I am A.) not sure of what to make of your observation, and B.) not convinced that Wiki is 100% reliable, I did find this little gem when searching the numerals 10:10 .....

oh, ha ha ha. ten years ago we wrote about the rise of the police state, and were flamed to a crisp.
the extra complete receiver would come in handy when FBI is requested for 'backup'...
Do you think the ATF weren’t terrified when the davidians started shooting and killing them? Everybody’s scared.
Man up and dig deep for a pair. I don’t know about you but my ass is exit only. The book of the month club has taught me that no communist regime is without death squads, round-ups, and executions. You can get in the boxcar if you want but I’m shooting till I’m out of ammo.
Dialogue between Sam Spade and Kasper Gutman in The Maltese Falcon:
"If you kill me, how are you going to get the bird? If I know you can't afford to kill me till you have it, how are you going to scare me into giving it to you?"
Gutman cocked his head to the left and considered these questions. His eyes twinkled between puckered lids. Presently he gave his genial answer: "Well, sir, there are other means of persuasion besides killing and threatening to kill."
"Sure," Spade agreed, "but they're not much good unless the threat of death is behind them to hold the victim down. See what I mean? If you try anything I don't like I won't stand for it. I'll make it a matter of your having to call it off or kill me, knowing you can't afford to kill me."
"I see what you mean." Gutman chuckled. "That is an attitude, sir, that calls for the most delicate judgment on both sides, because, as you know, sir, men are likely to forget in the heat of action where their best interest lies, and let their emotions carry them away."
Spade too was all smiling blandness. "Then the trick, from my side," he said, "is to make my play strong enough that it ties you up, but yet not make you mad enough to bump me off against your better judgment."
Gutman said fondly: "By Gad, sir, you are a character!"
>>Fascism was always socialism.<<
True — I was being theoretical...
>>”I see what you mean.” Gutman chuckled. “That is an attitude, sir, that calls for the most delicate judgment on both sides, because, as you know, sir, men are likely to forget in the heat of action where their best interest lies, and let their emotions carry them away.”<<
My God, that is the basis for every flame war I have ever had on FR (and the interwebz!)
It does, but it doesn’t contemplate their use within the United States to do anything those agencies don’t already do.
As I think I’ve said elsewhere in this thread, if the federal government wants to enforce its will on the people of the United States, it hardly needs to be so circumspect as to create a “stability police force” and pretend that it’s only going to be used overseas.
