Per Fox. Obama will impose cap and trade through the EPA and executive order. White House spokesman quoted as saying that since the Senate seems unwilling to pass cap and trade, Obama is willing to do so by himself to "address the global warming crisis." This is timed to the Copenhagen fiasco of radical Warmists.
I am sure the Senate will stand-up to him. /S
Do you have a link or even the name of the person that reported this?
Also, no guns there. Thanks but no thanks.
Article 1, Section 7: All Bills for raising Revenue shall originate in the House of Representatives.
There is no stroke of the pen, law of the land in this case.
I’m hoping that the newest legal action (yet again) filed in Washington, DC by two lawyers (one of whom is Leo Donofrio) representing GM dealership people who were wiped out, and who had been in business 50+ years, is finally effective. The only place you can sue a sitting President is the Supreme Court or in Washington, DC. Evidently, in addition to this GM dealership suit there is also a Quo warranto suit demanding Obama prove citizenship. Also, Congressman Deal (GA) and nine others are demanding Obama provide proof of citizenship. Something, somewhere has to stick.
I’m sorry to be so cynical,
but do you really think that’s any obstacle?
Untrue XL. You might have to take a safety course, but you can get a gun.
RE :”Per Fox. Obama will impose cap and trade through the EPA and executive order”
That is fine. Just dont pass a law. Can he really impose ‘cap and trade fines’ without a law anyway
?
Reminds me of the reconciliation threats.
By the way, can a President order an increase in taxes through Executive Order?
_____________
If he does, anyone that pays them deserves to live in chains. It’s time to start kicking as* and taking names. Time to puch back and push back hard.
It the US goes down, so does Canada. That, you can count on. Head South, not North.
The Clean Air Act.
SCOTUS 2007: A reduction in domestic emissions would slow the pace of global emissions increases, no matter what happens elsewhere. Further, the Court ruled that under the Acts clear terms, EPA can avoid promulgating regulations only if it determines that greenhouse gases do not contribute to climate change or if it provides some reasonable explanation as to why it cannot or will not exercise its discretion to determine whether they do. Finally, the Court found unreasonable EPAs argument that regulation of CO2 in the transportation sector would not make significant reductions in emissions, noting that although enforcing regulations may not by itself reverse global warming, it is the duty of EPA to take such a step in order to slow or reduce global warming.
Even though this is a preposterous ruling, it's the SCOTUS.
Hmmmm... deem ammunition a health hazard and ban it??
However, you are losing your country. It is being invaded from the south. You are losing your freedoms. If this story is true it could literally mean that the US federal government would be able to decide whether or not every single factory or place of business in the country can continue to operate. I'm not laughing about that, I'm crying. You guys are in real trouble. Your president is a disaster.
.....deem ammunition a health hazard and ban it?? .....
There is a far worse problem..... Beer. Everytime you drink a beer you release CO2. It never ever goes away.Ditto Coke, Pepsi, Dr Pepper, Seven Up, etc
The liquor and wine industries that release CO2 as a fermentation product are toast.
The EPA will demand the end to beer and carbonated beverages.
The end of the problem will come only with the end as in elimination of Rats.
Good God in heaven, ping!
Things like this, are what make the legitimacy issue a real and serious issue.
. . . . . comment #27.
.
I just watched recorded Cavuto on FNC, and Beck and thought of my question. I didnt really understand the issue when I replied at work. It’s worse than I thought I admit!
It’s all over the place. My GOD!!! We have just been slapped back to the stoneage, people! This is an absolute threat to the freedom of every human being on the planet, and if you don’t believe it, wait.
I ain’t waiting anymore. This is just the purest evil I have ever seen.
Most of us have been waiting for the next shoe to fall. This is it, y’all. This is your freedom TO BREATHE!!!!
It isn’t my Grandpap’s joke anymore. He always said they would figure out a way to tax the very air we breathe. This is a precursor to forced population control and that is what every one of these insane people have been calling for in one form or another since Hitler.
Well. It’s here and it’s here now. NOW WHAT!
Agreed. 100%. Being a usurper means that everything he does is unconstitutional. Completely unlawful. His eligibility (or lack thereof) is the #1 issue above and beyond all other issues.
You sure are picky:-)
I earlier posted a WSJ opinion piece in which it is stated that EPA regulation would be far more expensive than the legislation on the table in Congress.

Nothing about an executive order, however. I don’t know what the author of this thread is using as a source.
