He has a video posted in which Chris Matthews is saying the "birthers" think Obama is an illegal. With Pat Buchanan saying he thinks the "birth certificate" we saw ends the discussion. Palin cut off to make her remarks out-of-context.

You might be right. In this respect, he might be like the neocons, who are pretty irreligious, are social liberals (or at least agnostic) on a lot of social issues such as abortion. I wouldn't carry this too far, however. I don't think that they paricularly care about these issues.

He was always a lefty, but he initially allowed some open discussions on his site (LGF), though he grew petulant when some folks became critical of the muzz. Then he returned to the lefty fold.

I know he is (or was) an avid bicyclist, so maybe he had a spill and was not wearing a helmet. Could explain some things. But, there is no question that he was a lefty before Rathergate, and likely never strayed far from the lefty path.

Hate speech on FR? I’ve been on FR on and off for quite a few years (mostly lurking, occasionally posting) and I never seen hate speech on here. You want to see hate speech? Go to any leftist and/or troofer website (or any site that attracts them in). You will see some of the most vile invective you’ve ever seen.
