Apparently there are still some posters on FR who are fast asleep. Wake up! Dammit! We are in the middle of a conservative rebellion! While you were sleeping we, along with millions of other freedom loving grassroots Americans have participated in hundreds of tea parties all across this great land and fully intend to keep it up until all of America is awake. We are fed up and mad as hell! We grassroots Americans are delivering a message to the ruling class: NO MORE!!

No more big government! No more high taxes! No more government bailouts! No more government takeovers! No government healthcare! No more corruption! No more global baloneyism!!

We're sick and tired of liberals and RINOs running roughshod over our God given Liberty!

We want our country back! We want our freedom back! We want it all back!!

No more socialism!!

Cut the taxes! Cut the spending! Cut the government!

Restore the constitutional limits on government! Restore our freedom!!

And not only no, but HELL NO to liberals and RINOS!!

Free Republic will not support RINOS!! Rudy McRomney, et al, can go straight to hell!!

Well, she reminds me of the perot factor regarding the publicity and reaction she’s getting!!

I knew some young ladies who went to school with Perot's daughter. They told me things about him that were unsavory to say the least. He had a giant ego and was an insufferable ass.

I don't remember all the details of what the girls told me, but they thought Perot was the Anti-Christ and even referred to him as A.C! :-)

I have no doubt those folks exist. The issue then becomes, do they belong on a political forum like this? Free Republic is an intense conservative forum. It’s stated intention is to espouse conservative thought and promote and defend conservative values and objectives. It is not intended to debate conservative vs. moderate, liberal or socialist values. It is not a clearing house for all political thought or reason.

If someone isn’t confident in their own opinions or knowledge, then I question the logic of their being here. Whether this relates to Conservativegreatgrandma or not, I don’t know. But she’s here, and is willing (actually eager) to participate, so that makes her, as anyone is, fair game.

This is sad Jim. I see a lot of discord here, and I don't see it getting any better. Since I see a Rudyesque purge coming on, I'll go on record so you can make an informed decision if I really belong here.

For the record so there is no confusion, the possible candidates that I like at this juncture, in order are:

Jindal,

Huckabee

Romney

Gingrich

Pawlenty

Petraeus

Palin

Personally, I hope someone better than all of the above catches my eye, but from what I've seen proffered, that's who I'll support in the primary, in that order. I'll also add that if Paul wins the nomination, I don't care who's running against him, I'm not voting for the lunatic.

I wouldn't have stayed home, but I would have penciled in Duncan Hunter. Palin was the reason that McCain only suffered a stinging defeat, instead of having his ass handed royally to him a platter. Then he kicked her to the curb, fed her to the MSM, and promptly cozied up to the enemy...again.... gimpy little bastard!

Well, I’m a Conservative because I know in my heart I’m a Conservative, not because I fit into some arbitrary mold you have shaped. And despite your attempts to define what such actions may or may not mean,

It's your conscience - I think at some point you'll realize that voting for a liberal with an (R) next to their name is still voting for a liberal. It's taken me many years to come to this conclusion, and even then I still voted for McAmnesty last fall. No more though - I'm not going to support either of the two RINOs in the Texas Governor's race - I'll take the lesser known Conservative or a third party once she's out of the primaries.

But if our broken primary system is not fixed, and we wind up with what you consider to be a RINO, I will vote for the “holding action” Republican rather than stay home and let Obama complete the destruction of our nation.

We've been voting for those "holding action" Republicans since George H.W. Bush - Bob Dole, George W. Bush, McAmnesty. Another 16 years of "holding action" Republicans will insure the destruction of this country.

The only difference between Obama and the RINOs is the amount of time they take to destroy our country - in the end, they are both after the same thing, and the RINO actions and policies of the last 10 years have helped ensure that Obama and future socialists/democrats are able to achieve their goals.

I have no doubt that electing more RINOs will ensure that the socialists/democrats are able to get their way in the end. Jim Robinson is right, no more RINOs in Congress, no more RINOs, period.

I meant to tell you that I agree with you re;the most critical and dangerous times. This is the most fearful I and others I have spoken to have been since 9/11. Obama and congress are the barrior between terrorists and freedom...and the terrorists are treated as though they are common criminals, with american rights. And the feelings have gotten worse since fort hood and the navy seals... Lots of anger about both!!

I just read the OP, I will read the rest as I can (am posting between doing other things). I’m afraid I am becoming-perhaps fatalistic isn’t the right word-as things progress. I know that there is a an end, according to my Christian beliefs, which can be perhaps be avoided for a time, but not ultimately. America doesn’t seem to figure in that end. I have never had the reality of that scenario more forcefully brought home to me than in these last years. The reality of it seems to be upon us. Perhaps it can yet be abated for a while, but not forever. I don’t think that should ever mean that we give up and give in, lest we be abettors of evil, but if we’re believers we do so with our eyes wide open.
This is of course, as always, just my opinion.
