An experiment to see if a tractor could make it through the fence, maybe?

Monthly siren test planned Tuesday
By the Herald staff
Sirens will sound in southern Benton County at noon Tuesday as part of the monthly test of tone alert radios and warning sirens in case of an emergency at the Umatilla Chemical Depot.
Twenty sirens will be activated, followed by a message broadcast in English and Spanish. Households with emergency tone alert radios also will hear a tone and message.
Looks that way — unless the operator is still in the facility somewhere, waiting.
” Citizens should be vigilant about their surroundings. “
But heaven help you if your are foolish enough to report that a
Hasan-think-alike at your workplace admits to running this “probing”
mission to check security at a chemical depot.
Looks that way — unless the operator is still in the facility somewhere, waiting.
That’s odd Amish farmers don’t drive tractors.
Friday night, kids, beer and a tractor? Most likely imo.

S”tolen tractor breaks through Umatilla Chemical Depot fence
Farm Bureau offers $1,000 reward”
By SAMANTHA BATES
The East Oregonian
SNIPPET: “The John Deere 7920 was stolen from local farmer Dan McCarty, who leases land next door to the depot. Craig Kopta, who works at Madison Farms, found a piece of the tractor lying in the road, McCarty said. It looked liked whoever had taken the tractor tore off the stairs and ran over it multiple times. They also tore up a mile and a half of fence on that leased property.
“Then it looks like they got done joy riding, turned the tractor loose and it went through the Army Depot fence. After about a mile and a half it stalled on an igloo,” McCarty said. “When they found the tractor it was still running.””
SNIPPET: “Initially depot security and the FBI responded, along with the sheriff’s department.
Bruce Henrickson, depot information officer, said it’s routine to call the FBI when a crime takes place on federal land. Officers decided that because the tractor started off on county land, it was up to the county to investigate.”
SNIPPET: “McCarty has gotten his tractor back and is getting estimates to fix it. From now on, he’ll add a few more security measures, he said.
McCarty said there is a $1,000 reward for information leading to the conviction of whoever stole the tractor.”
.
Don’t worry folks. You can be sure the gubmint had a web cam monitoring the site 24-7.
How old are those chemical weapons? We all learned from the Iraq War that chemical weapons have an extremely short shelf life. The weapons stored there are no more dangerous than spoiled milk. </liberal talking points>

“Reservation gang activity on the rise”
By KATHY ANEY
The East Oregonian
SNIPPET: “But it’s definitely a wake-up call.
That’s the opinion of American Indian gang specialist Christopher Grant, who led a two-day regional conference on gang awareness this week at the Wildhorse Resort & Casino.
Gang activity is on the upswing on reservations around the nation, especially in the Midwest, Southwest and Northwest.
“Gangs are here on the Umatilla Reservation,” Grant said. “Gang activity has been occurring on or near the Umatilla Reservation for a number of years, but has escalated over the past two years.””
John Deere! What can the matter be?

Knock, knock
Who's there?
