We've all seen the photo:
But does it tell the whole truth? I'm as anti Obama as anyone but the fact is Obama did have his hand on his heart, just not at the last second of a long musical note. Let me explain:
Here is the video. Look at 2:33-2:37 the video clearly shows he does have hand on heart and then the camera pans away. Camera returns at 2:56 and Obama still has hand on heart till 2:59 when camera pans away again.
The problem is when do you put your hand back down? As can be clearly scene as the last loooooooooong note is played at 3:29 a number of people lower their hands (including the couple directly to the right of the trumpet) at 3:38. The woman in red to the left still has her hand on her heart for a few more seconds. Had the photo been taken right then, it would appear the couple to the right were unpatriotic because in a photo their hands were down when compared to others.
Obama may have been a little quicker than others to put his hand down (maybe patriotism is hard for him-lol) but he did have it up unlike the famous photo with Hillary and Richardson.
Good catch. Agree 100%. Pointing out actions no matter how trivial is one thing, but intentionally misleading just comes back to bite you in the butt.
Nah, no damage to our side.
It takes very little effort to convince people he DOESN’T love this country as opposed to finding ANYTHING in the man’s past that would make one believe he does love America...
Good post. Let’s get it right. There’s plenty of material to work with.
Everyone knew the context of the “Mission Accomplished” photo too.
Look at how that ended up.
Nonsense. It’s fake but accurate. We KNOW he hates the country. He couldn’t WAIT to put his hand down.
Yes it does. There is enough ammo against him already, there is no need to invent stuff.
The truth shall set you free.
Umm...but we still have that pic with Hillary and Richardson.
Anything on that one?
best point so far......
I don’t think people in the crowd are comparable to the President of The United States of America standing on a stage facing the American public (and the world) and is supposed to be showing leadership in displaying the proper respect to our Military and Vets.
I agree.
And it probably just about killed him to keep it there for as long as he did.
It’s not fake, the context it was given in was misleading.
We don’t need to take things out of context with him. More than enough stuff we know about him that are out there and the context is clear and hasn’t been contrived to appear as it isn’t. We don’t have to be desperate like liberals and deliberately take things out of context (ie Nancy Pelosi and protestor swastikas). There’s SO MUCH else that is scary IN the proper context with this guy.
However given what we know of him and his hatred of the country it’s not hard to believe he NEVER had his hand up, given the GENUINE photo of him on the campaign trail not with his hand over his heart.
Thanks for whoever did first report on this being taken out of context.
BUMP
One of the real contributing factors is his total lack of understanding of military protocol. Have you seen the guy salute? It looks like Benny Hill.
There is no need to fake anything about Zero. WHO is responsible for the original production of this Fake.
It would be interesting to see which side it ACTUALLY originated on.
I found nothing false about this. It’s understood where his heart is, and he had both hands over it.
Look, you’re mention of this represents our side well. We are quick to carp, and quick to admit a mistake. We are more than willing to give Obama his due, if he truly deserves it.
Point out where the left gave Bush any credit whatsoever.
Mistakes like this, handled like you have here, represent our side very well.
I appreciate you bringing this to our attention.
Now, what can you say about that ‘oops, I dropped my little Rules for Radicals book’ moment before the Japanese Emperor? LOL
