Axelrod Signals Obama Will Try to Strip Abortion Language From Health Care Bill by FOXNews.com
The amendment, authored by Rep. Bart Stupak, D-Mich., went beyond preventing the proposed government-run plan from covering abortion to restrict federal subsidies from going toward private plans that offer abortion coverage. David Axelrod says the amendment changes the 'status quo,' something the president cannot abide.
White House Senior Adviser David Axelrod suggested Sunday that President Obama will intervene to make sure a controversial amendment restricting federal funding for abortion coverage is stripped from final health care reform legislation.

Just heads up....Democrats are trying to turn the Healthcare debate into Abortion debate. This way they can frame Pro Choice verse Pro Life etc....to win back suburban women for healthcare.
Thanks AA Police. That was not the original headline from Fox. That was the linked headline, not the original.
Check your sources before you try and point out something which you are wrong....get a life as well.

Well, at least illegals won’t receive benefits. Because the’ll all be legal!
If you would like to be added or dropped from the Michigan ping list, please freepmail me.
If you argue that "a pregnant woman has a right to do with her body what she will", shouldn't that same argument apply to men, non-pregnant women and anyone else?
Kill those babies...for the children.
He really was wasn’t he? :)
Try? Axelrod is a dufus.
it all comes down to the 2010 campaign season. get us there with no health care takeover and it won’t happen.
Pro Choice verse Pro Life
__________________________________________
That’s an oxymoron...
The phrase is Pro Abortion verses Pro Life...
Bingo. They can and will put it back in by hiding it in an appropriation for school bus paint for the underserved, or something like that. The left intends to remain in power permanently, so they see no risk in waiting for the full boat. The whole thing is fraudulent, and must be stopped now, if not sooner.
Because it never had anything to do with choice. It has always been about power. Once they got everyone comfortable with killing babies because they are not “complete humans” then they can move to the real agenda. Your body belongs to the state now and, oh no, you have Alzheimer’s, you are not a complete human so you must die. Oh no, you have Downs syndrome, you are not a complete human, you must die. Oh no, you believe in God, you are mentally damaged, you must die. etc, etc etc. Conservative...you must die.
You’re absolutely right. They really don’t care what’s in the bill. In fact, they put stuff in there just so the Republicans will have something to latch onto and refuse, then they will say, OK we will pull it out, now what’s your problem? They need to stick to budgeting, sunset clauses and ways to dump this piece of crap once the Dems lose the House and Senate or refuse it all together. Tort reform would probably really hang it up for the Dems. Percentage based co-payments for everyone no matter where you stand financially. Allow interstate competition.
Ahh, yes. I hope the fools in the House - not to mention the naive (or dissimulating secret-Dem) Catholic bishops - learn from the discussion of this that Obama and his minions cannot be trusted and that they don’t make the same mistake the next time.
It was obvious from the get-go that even letting that amendment get by temporarily was simply a matter of tactics.
Otherwise she'd torqued the little guy in a second.
Don’t we still have a law on the books that would have to be repealed for federal funds to be used for abortions? Not that its existence makes me comfortable after last week.
Does anyone know?
I can't get over how appropriate his looks are to serving under this administration.
Wait for it... wait for it...
