Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin told Oprah that she is willing to bury the hatchet with Levi Johnston, baby-daddy to her first grandchild, and says that he is welcome at her Thanksgiving table.
Palin told Oprah that she's trying to move past the negative and concentrate on life without drama. Johnston, she says, is part of the family and she's willing to "bring him into the fold" and under her wing.
"And he needs that, too, Oprah, I think he needs to know that he is loved and he has the most beautiful child and this can all work out for good," she says in the interview, which is scheduled to run Nov. 16. "It really can."

I don’t think he’s really useful to anybody but the tabloid media.
Grow up. Or perhaps YOUR family is perfect, which I doubt. In fact, with an answer like that over a family issue of the magnitude of this involving a child, I rather suspect you lacked proper raising also.
Levi will be dumped by the Marxists when his usefulness is complete.
Would you want this guy around YOUR grandchild?
Pray for America and Gov Palin
I remember well that some of the most healing and comforting places was around Mom's dinner table.
SARAH!
How many family get togethers are like this. Kind of sounds like my wife's family which we will be having Thanksgiving with.
Levi also doesn't realize his twitter account is likely being saved by Bristol's attorney's- and Levi's open want for pot and advocating its use will pretty much seal his fate in a court of law.
Somewhere down the road, he's gonna do the "I wish I hadn't done that"....or "said that"....or "posed for that"....
He's just foolish...
Food for thought...If Sarah Palin can reach out to Levi (I am stupid jerk Johnston) can reaching across the aisle to Democrats be far behind?
Wise for Levi. Sarah would beat the crap out of him.
“.....but I want to be with my kid.....”
His words say one thing, his actions say something different.
“Wise for Levi. Sarah would beat the crap out of him.”
Maybe that’s why he declined the invitation. If anyone deserves a good ass kicking it is Levi Johnston.
Okay, she’s either a whack job, or the most forgiving person on the planet. I’m thinking it’s the latter, but I just can’t quite douse the little ember of doubt I have about her. And I’m one of those who voted for McCain only because she was on the ticket. I am looking forward to reading her book.
Sarah herself, has gutted a moose.
I’m thinking she too can carve a mean turkey.
Idiot baby daddies Beware!
I actually thought it was a very Christian response. The prodigal son sort of thing. Can you imagine the backlash if she would of said hell no?
Her remarks just feed Levi's responses plus the maw of the tabloid press. An ongoing soap drama is not beneficial to her personal or political stature.
The Iron Lady, Margaret Thatcher, did not continually remark offhand about the scandals of her loopy son, maintaining her statemanlike demeanor at all times much to the consternation of the British tabloids and the lumpen masses who love to read this stuff.
Starting with the "Mommy Dearest" daughter/author decades ago, Americans-in-the-news seem to love to spill or comment on family dirt.
Palin's Thanksgiving "invite" served absolutely no purpose other than to invite eyebrow-raising and snickers.

Sarah’s invitation to Levi is completely consistant with Christian teachings. This, of course, is quite beyond the understanding of the left, and sadly, far too many Americans.
I consider her invitation to be an extraordinarily gracious act. Whether the young toad accepts or not, is his problem, not hers.
From Luke Chapter 6
Love for Enemies
27”But I tell you who hear me: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, 28bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you.
.......
35But love your enemies, do good to them, and lend to them without expecting to get anything back. Then your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High, because he is kind to the ungrateful and wicked.
