Recanvassing shows NY-23 race tightens even as Rep. Bill Owens is sworn into House seat

Washington -- Conservative Doug Hoffman conceded the race in the 23rd Congressional District last week after receiving two pieces of grim news for his campaign: He was down 5,335 votes with 93 percent of the vote counted on election night, and he had barely won his stronghold in Oswego County.

As it turns out, neither was true.

Count, challenge every opposing vote, recount. Repeat until we win like the Democrats do.

Just because a candidate doesn’t concede doesn’t mean that the winning candidate doesn’t get to take the seat. Could you imagine what kind of mess we’d be in if it was the law that every losing candidate had to concede before the winner could take office?

OK, sorry I misunderstood.
However, I'm not convinced there was not FRAUD and slow vote tabulating, which assists in the FRAUD department.

That isn’t what I was stating. The point I was trying to make is that all the votes were not counted. How can you state a win or loss if all the counts are not counted.

From the results on the night he conceded I believe Owens was stated to have won by that point by a margin of just over 5,000 votes. Ends up that some of the districts counted Hoffman at 0 votes which was inaccurate and only 93% off the vote had been counted. Add to this over 10,000 absentee ballots that had not been counted. This alone could sway the vote to Hoffman, thus no concession yet.

Can you understand my point. If all votes are counted and you lose, then you concede.

Al’baby’gore did not win FL nor Kerry OH. In the FL during 2000 during the recount, there is no way only ‘certain’ precincts or districts could have legally been recounted to swing Gore. The entire hanging chad thing was ridiculous.

Cuyahoga Cty in Ohio called Kerry to say they didn’t have the (dead) votes to deliver OH in ‘04. 0bama won OH (which the enemedia considered crucial) with approximately the same number needed—even though the Soros SOS, Jennifer Brunner, (hoping now to be the US senator after Voinovich) refused to issue listings of registered voters to county officials [to match up against voters]).

***This is what got the RAT media in trouble in 2000 - when they announced FL for Bush *before* the polls had closed, then reversed it to undecided!***

The network announced that voting was over in Florida ignoring the two time zones in Florida. Then they said in essence, “Oops! We forgot that there were still polls open in the Central time zone.”

And perhaps to illustrate your point, I believe it’s within the realm of theoretical possibility that if New York and California had counted all of their absentee ballots for the 2000 POTUS election, then Bush might have actually carried the nationwide popular vote. Or at least the nationwide popular vote would have been closer than what has always been reported.

RATs and the RAT media = manipulation, corruption, propaganda - and they self justify it all, because they perceive themselves to be morally superior and concerned for the poor.

It’s the biggest self deception and ruse going.

The people I know that give of their time, treasures and talents are primarily conservatives, while the liberals I know are constantly griping and harping on getting the government more involved as they will ‘solve’ these huge problems. The liberals I know are also constantly blasting on ‘evil conservatives’ - proving their lunacy and mental disorders almost with every word out of their mouths.

Sorry to be so harsh.

I’ve had it with the liberal bleeding heart hypocrisy. (face it, we’re all hypocrites, but liberals have mastered it.)

“Here is a lesson for all of you who think we are going to take the House back in 2010. It’s too late. The Dems aren’t giving up power via the ballot box.”

Too frightening for me to contemplate right now :(

“There are currently over 10,000 uncounted absentee ballots”

I don’t believe writer’s absentee number. The only figure I remember being referenced earlier were approximately 4800 absentee votes that were returned out of the over 10200 mailed out for the district wide.

So Chuck Todd was right. Me thinks the word on Hoffman’s defeat was “cooked-up.” http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-bloggers/2378028/posts

This is criminal in my book - or should be. This is part of what some earlier posters mentioned should be done to clean up the electoral process.

If it’s not done quickly, this nation’s pressure cooker will continue to rise to dangerous levels.

btw: I didn’t said Gore, nor Kerry won - I was quoting someone else’s sarcastic quote...:)

Which would mean Hoffman has basically no chance. Can you confirm this?

Count, challenge every opposing vote, recount. Repeat until we win like the Democrats do.
+++++++++++++++

We can only do that effectively if:
1) We’re inclined to lie, cheat and steal.
2) We control the vote counting apparatus, like the Ds do in many states - and then use it to lie, cheat and steal.

Yes, we must challenge the NY 23 results on the basis of the truth.

The broader issue that must be dealt with is electoral corruption which is almost a 100% RAT corruption.

That is a much larger topic than NY 23, and involves ACORN/COI, Franken, Gregoire and all of the corruption of the RATs.

Rossi and the ‘Pubs in WA State tried that after the ‘04 theft and they got bombed in the ‘08 rematch.

You're right - it is no guarantee. But to be fair in the WA State gubernatorial race in 2008 - Gregoire rode the bammy coat-tail (large at that time, which has since gone negative.)
