Recanvassing shows NY-23 race tightens even as Rep. Bill Owens is sworn into House seat

Washington -- Conservative Doug Hoffman conceded the race in the 23rd Congressional District last week after receiving two pieces of grim news for his campaign: He was down 5,335 votes with 93 percent of the vote counted on election night, and he had barely won his stronghold in Oswego County.

As it turns out, neither was true.

Why do these “tight” races ALWAYS go against conservatives?

Conservatives drive cars with smaller trunks = less room for "found" ballots...

Because Joe Stalin, hero of collectivist statists everywhere, said, “It is not he that casts the vote who has the power, but he that counts the vote.”

That is why the precinct vote counters are swarming with DemonRATs.

During the 08 election, the answer is massive voter fraud. ACORN, ACORN, SEIU, SEIU.

Hoffman should retract his concession and demand a recount if he doesn’t take the lead with absentees.

Back in 2000, my BIL’s father was thrown out of the Palm Beach vote counting/election office. He was caught stealing ballots with the intention of destroying Bush-Cheney ballots.

Interesting how he wasn't prosecuted though. Hmmm...want to guess what political party he was a registered member of?

It's become a running joke, even after said saboteur died.

So... let me get this straight. That race is still not completely decided? With military and other absentee votes still to be counted, Hoffman could conceivably pull ahead, no?

It will be such a slap in the face to the media, Pelosi, and Obama if Hoffman ends up winning this race!

I know. Doesn’t it suck that Al Gore won Florida in 2000 and John Kerry won Ohio in 2004?

It won’t matter if Hoffman wins. Congress will simply refuse to seat him and allow Owens to keep the seat. And it won’t be the first time that Democrats have done this either.

One of Hoffman’s problems (and a problem with conservatives all over the US) is that he was too polite. He should never have conceded until ALL the ballots were counted, especially including absentee ballots. At the least, it would have resulted in Pelosi having one less vote for ObamaCare.

Then, they’re going to have a nasty fight on their hands. If Hoffman wins, he wins, no matter what the pelosibitch wants.

This article is incredible!

Hoffman is down by 3,026 votes.
There are up to 10,200 absentee ballots.

If Hoffman wins 7175 of these, he wins. If he wins 6000 of these, there might be a recount.

And Owens was sworn in, yet New York state hasn’t certified the winner yet!

The information given is confusing, isn’t it? How can they give the results of an election before the mail-in votes are counted?

Not necessarily true. If the bill comes back to the House from conference (God forbid) another vote will take place in the House.

A candidate should never concede until ALL the votes are counted.

Concession represents a slap in the face to those voters who will not be counted.

A lesson.
