Fox News can confirm that Fort Hood suspect Army Major Nidal Hasan is awake and speaking to medical staff at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio.
Hospital spokesperson Maria Gallegos says he's in critical but stable condition.
A U.S. Army spokesman says Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan, the suspected Fort Hood gunman, is in critical but stable condition three days after he allegedly opened fire on the military base that killed 13 and left 29 wounded.
Hasan, 39, was shot during an exchange of gunfire during Thursday's attack. The military moved him on Friday to Brooke Medical Center, where he was taken off a ventilator on Saturday.

That may be true, but in this instance, I'm satisfied with the media glorification of the "strong woman" -- because it causes great pain to the warped psyches of Islamists who regard over half of the world's population as so much cattle.

I actually think though he will be tried by the Military on a military post with military judges..Depending on the Judge if he for instance is tight with the Dem's and Obama you might as well forget it this loon will be put in an institution and serve a few years and let go..That is how much I trust anything or anyone that is associated with Obama..From what I know of the military people (which we are retired)they are a group of wonderful people including most officers and make sure they protect their own.. Another thing is this loon could be charged by the people that he shot like the civilians..The woman that shot him was a civilian so we might get some sort of justice..

There are many people including myself who would pay at least 100 times that amount to be on his firing squad. It could help generate enough money for that health care bill they passed this pass Saturday at midnight if they auction this off.
