The lightly-built police heroine who is credited with halting the Fort Hood massacre almost died at the scene after losing half the blood in her body.
Mother of one Sergeant Kimberley Munley confronted gunman Nidal Malik Hasan and, despite being wounded in both legs, brought him down with four shots.
One of the shots cut an artery in her leg, leaving blood pumping out but she still managed to keep firing before collapsing.
Heroine: Kim Munley, a civilian police officer, is the woman who brought Hasan down by shooting him four times before he could slaughter more people.
Medic Francisco Delaserna applied a tourniquet to Sgt Munley as she drifted in and out of consciousness because of blood loss.
'I cut her trousers oopen, tied a tourniquet around her thigh and stopped the bleeding. But she had already lost a lot of blood,' he said.

It allows the Military Police to do combat related training in preparation for deployments.
The tower is a minaret, and they contain loudspeakers that utter the call to prayer five times a day.
Indeed ......gun free zones are death chambers in waiting.
..... Murderers don’t follow the laws as WE know yet polidiots ignore !
Thank God this Cop took the POS ISLAMAKAZI down when she did.
Kudos to her for quick action !!!
Nope, it shows you how slender but tough Sgt. Kim Munley is. The adrenaline flowing through her body numbed her blood loss.
You are correct and it shameful we don’t hear more of these heroic stories. God bless them all.
I was looking out for it too and found it difficult to find the information. What’s odd to me is finding the information coming from the British press first. Who’s giving them the info and why isn’t it available to our press? Or, is our press sitting on it?
I don’t really care who got the most shots on target. Of course that will be detailed in reports to follow. What I see are at least several very brave people (probably more you will never hear about unless you live there) that were suddenly thrust into a situation that none of us would ever want to be in. They acted instinctively out of training and took the bastard down.
Hold your glasses High, Toast to them all (named and unnamed) !!!!!
It's West Fort Hood that was an Air Force base from '47 to '52 and later DASA facility. The part that glows in the dark..... just kidding, I hope, since that is where I work. A few of the old Air Force and DASA facilities are still in use, including some of the base housing, and many of the DASA bunkers.
Because that's not possible for a native born citizen. Besides, I favor treason and murder charges at the Court Martial. Followed as quickly as possible by The Big Sleep.
Well that would certainly be a good reason for him to hold his fire!
God bless this hero and give her a speedy recovery.
From what I've read, including Todd's account, they both scored hits. She scored hers first, which likely made him a slower moving target for Todd.
ZERO
He got off a few rounds though, and we do not know how many hit.Waiting forensics.
It doesn't really matter. As Todd stated, they worked as a TEAM.
love the drudge headline though.......Sneaker of the House.....after sneaking around late on a Saturday night when America isn’t watching.
Ours as well. Sgt Munley was also included. I was about to add her to the list, but found one of my friends was already doing so, and we collaborated on the wording.
Disgusting. This sort of “multiculturalism” can stay in at home, for all I care. It brings nothing that interests me. It has no cause to come to the US.
