Not "done" until it's reconciled with whatever the Senate might (or might not) come up with, and then the President signs...that's the good thing, yes!

I'm pretty dubious about the Stupak amendment - no Fed. $$ for abortions, "with exceptions"...what are the exceptions? It's probably here somewhere on this thread - lol!

I agree that good always wins out - I would just like it to be my interpretation of "good" rather than Speaker Pelosi's, and for this recovery to happen sometime in my life-time! ;)

If not, I will cross check the names and post it tomorrow.

Great, I'll be looking for that. And if their pictures are easy to find, you might include an old Western style wanted poster for each Blue Dog.

Like Tom Perriello? He must really want to go back to whatever the heck he did before this past January, because he sure got hammered at his town hall meetings about not passing a health care takeover.

Dan Borum is David’s son. My congressman, GOP Rep Lucas, defended Dan as a great colleague at a town hall meeting. I pointed out that Dan had voted for Pelosi. However, he did also vote against Cap and Tax and stated he was opposing the health care bill because you don’t raise taxes in a recession. Other town-hallers have asked him to change parties, I read, but he declines.

Looks like it is time to for all of us to start researching. That would be interesting who put them over the top.

I will call an office Monday morning and ask if they know.

I heard a rumor up at the Headquarters he may be seriously considering switching because for the first time the OK GOP is looking at some candidates to run in that District and heard the Dems are looking for a challenger as he is not liberal enough which could drive him to the GOP. He has been protected by our delegation IMHO. He did vote for Pelosi but usually votes with the GOP most of the time and he refused to endorse Obama.

> The only way to solve this problem is at the ballot box.

>> Good luck I hope you’re not too let down when that fails.
>> They didn’t come this far, only to lose. There is nothing
>> they won’t do to install their Commie government. NOTHING!

Agreed. As they stand on the precipice of stuffing TRILLIONS of dollars in their pockets in the decades ahead in their newly-created Entitlement State, they're not going to play fair or nice ... not with so much to lose.

As I see it, the Framers gave us part three of the First Amendment to affect governmental change IN BETWEEN the ballot box:

"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."
We've seen how much has changed in the 10 months since Jan 20, 2009. We should shudder to think what another 12 months will bring.

We are ALL going to have to push beyond our "comfort zone" to stop this insanity. We need to be rather boisterous and forceful in how we petition for our "redress of grievances".

Do it for "the children" ... seriously ...

That would be great if Boren switched, I think it was his Muskogee town hall where he was asked and declined. No Pelosi-type dem will ever make it in OK.

Got an plan?

The best thing to do would be to repeal the 16th amendment which created the federal income tax system.

Barring that, some of the many things conservatives can do to slow the growth of this bureaucratic take over.

1. Make this a frugal Christmas by remembering the true meaning of Christmas first. Send cards, homemade gifts, homemade foods, local art and goods instead of expensive department store or corporate retail gifts. If you must give expensive gifts then make sure you purchase these in a way that does not create ANY sales tax revenue by buying on-line, or from individuals and etc.

2. Have a work slow down for as long as possible between now 2010. Take sick days, take vacations, consider temporarily closing your business during the holidays.

3. If you have an account with a large bank such as BOA, move it to a local community bank or credit union.

4. Temporarily stop your cable TV or dish TV service during the holidays.

5. Purchase gasoline only from a non-importing company: Sunoco......................... 0 barrels
Conoco........................ 0 barrels
Sinclair....................... 0 barrels
BP / Phillips................ 0 barrels
Hess. ............................. 0 barrels
ARC0............................. 0 barrels
Maverick......................... &nbs p;0 barrels
Flying J. .......................... 0 barrels
Valero............................ 0 barrels
Murphy Oil USA * ............. 0 Sold at Wal-Mart , gas is from South Arkansas and fully USA owned and produced.

6. Boycott theaters and consider using a service such as netflix instead.

7. Purchase locally grown foods when possible but fill up the pantry in case of an emergency.

8. Avoid the national restaurant chains and instead try new recipes at home or invent your own.

9. Make an effort to spend more quality time with your family and friends at home this holiday season. Rediscover outdoor and indoor sports and games.

10. Take measures to decrease your energy consumption. Take the tax credit. These measures will pay dividend as energy costs increase and the value of the dollar decreases.

11. Join a fitness center or exercise at home after consulting your doctor if you are at risk. Join others for walks, bicycling or jogs.

12. Consider moving at least 10% of savings or investments into precious metals.

13. Donate some of your time to help someone or your local community.

14. Give thanks daily and pray for our Country.
