Yeah, but it will be very hard to undo whats done, and thats even assuming the votes are there AND in a number to overcome a VETO.

Come 2011, a revamped House could refuse to fund Obamacare. IOW, either Senate and President agree to MAJOR changes or the government shuts down.

It’s going to hurt them financially, when many are already unemployed, it’s going to hurt them physically when all those doctors retire and they can’t get an appointment for the little 2-year old who’s crying from pain, it’s just going to take a while for them to realize the extent of this disaster.

and it's going to hurt them when they can't get an appointment until the cancer has spread past the point of effective treatment. because, guess what: there is a death panel, and it voted tonight.

They could easily pass a bill that forces a physician see everyone in their scope of practice.
It would be very hard to for them dictate how many patients with major medical problems thay can see.
You could schedule these patients a year out and only see a small few at a time that you could “squeeze” in your schedule.
Physicians are not slaves- if you try to dictate the terms of employment- this would be a Supreme Court case.
Slavery is currently outlawed.

If you mean the Weak Sisters, the Dems have to strip out the public option and the tax increases. And rescind the Medicare cuts. But that means more incremental health care reform, which I predict will get over 60 votes. Then the House will to decide if it can live with just half a loaf on health care.

Mr. Cao (pronounced “sow” according to his answering machines) is apparently getting a LOT of calls, as both of his voicemail boxes (in LA and DC) are full. I’m faxing him now—both places.

I live in NE but am beyond angry at these people who think we “regular” people don’t know enough to know what we want . . . I have not been involved in politics much in the past but that changes today. I will be sending whatever I can to defeat ANYONE, Rep. or Dim., who voted/votes for this bill.

I called one of our Republican Congressmen today, and an actually live assistant answered the phone! When I remarked I was surprised to get a real person on the phone, he said, “Our job is to work for YOU, that’s why we’re here.” So I do have hope that at least some of our elected officials are in it for the right reason.

I am only one person, but I believe that many, many “just one” persons are as angry as I am and ready to act. It’s easy (and kind of fun!) to call and/or email Congressmen(women) and make our views known. Only takes a few minutes and while I don’t believe Pelosi, Reid, etc. listen, I have to believe that there are a significant number who WILL listen.

Yep. Tonight, I did a take-out at a restaurant. No tip and we ate in the comfort of our own home. Works for me. Also, I’m not making any big-ticket buys until I know how 2010 shakes out.

I am not throwing in any towel ever. I figured it was going to pass the House after Pelosi passed Cap and Trade this summer.

I still have to wonder how many of the Freshman seats the Dems won by slim margins were won because of ACORN voter fraud. NJ showed us how to cut down on voter fraud by deploying 700 lawyers throughout the state — we need to do that in key House districts.

The fight is on in the Senate where we have always stood a better chance to defeat the bill. They are a whole group of moderates who will not support the public option.

I have made it a point to subtly find out if they voted for Hussein. If they did, they get nothing from me.

I just don't see it that way, mainly because during this last presidential election, Obama was able to get out the people that lives in the slums to vote. They want everything free because they already live on the governments back, and this only empowers them more! I may be wrong, but I believe this health care bill is all about votes and they don't give a hoot about nothing but votes!! Simple as that!! Obama and his crowd only wants power, and the more the better! Its going to be hard to stop them now! I hope I'm wrong!!

I keep reminding people that every Dem voted for Pelosi so that is enough to make them targets.

Cao IMHO won’t win anyway in that liberal district made up of welfare people.

It was a struggle to get a bare majority. That doesn't say much for Pelosi's ability to work across the aisle. If they could just get it through the House, they know in the Senate that 51 votes let alone 60 is not going to happen.

Conventional wisdom goes out the window with this crew in the White House. This is going to get ruthless, as Rahmie the Commie will not stand to let Boss Zero get humiliated by a Democratic Senate.

It is Dan Boren, same Dan Boren, who refused to endorse Obama in the general election. He is the son of David and Molly Boren and married to Josh Heupel’s sister.
