WASHINGTON A House leader says Democrats haven't yet lined up enough votes to pass their health care overhaul bill and may push the vote set for Saturday back one day or more.
Majority Leader Steny Hoyer of Maryland says the vote that House Democrats had scheduled for Saturday could slip to Sunday or early next week.
Hoyer acknowledged to reporters Friday that Democratic leaders don't yet have the 218 votes needed. He said he still expects passage Saturday night. But he added that some Democrats are still "looking to get a comfort level" with the bill.

As a hard-working taxpayer (and voter) I urge you to vote AGAINST the Health Care bill as it is currently configured.
If you continue to support this bill, I will work with my friends and neighbors to ensure you do not return to Washington after the 2010 elections.
We are fed up with the wastefull spending and curruption of this current Congress - you can help turn the tide, please do the right thing.
Respectfully,

The Rats are just putting on a show. They want everyone to think that they are really evaluating and want to make sure it right. They really are going to vote this thing through and it will be a happy day in obamma land.

They don’t want to go on the record, but their arms are being broken to support it — they must get to the magic 218.
As has been discussed at NRO and other sites, the RATS are equally concerned that they will be primaried from the Left; that their political coffers will go dry; and they are now being threatened by the Speaker’s office that they will not be able to secure gainful employment with lobbying firms in DC even if they lose re-election... e.g., not only will they be sacrificed, but they will be punished further as well.
Doesn’t get much uglier than this.
I’m not counting my chickens just yet, but this is welcome news. We need to keep the pressure on these clowns.
How many times has she said this?
Only if done correctly... :-)

From your keyboard to God’s ears!!
The same way Obama did, affirmative action.
And Nancifier wants to be careful. The peasants are restless, and may yet see her crucified i\on the Washington Mall.
Bela Pelosi was trying desperately to have the vote BEFORE folks were home for the Veteran’s Day break. She doesn’t want their constituents to buttonhole them about the legislation before the vote happens.
If it’s SO DAMN GOOD and SO MANY PEOPLE WANT IT....VOTE on IT!!!
LOVE IT!!!!!!!
