Republican Dede Scozzafava endorsed her former Democratic opponent Sunday in the race for an upstate New York congressional seat, one day after Scozzafava dropped out of the contest.
Scozzafava dropped out after Conservative Party candidate Dough Hoffman experienced a late-in-the-game surge. But on Sunday, Scozzafava backed Democrat Bill Owens -- the announcement was made in a statement send out by the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee.
"I am supporting Bill Owens for Congress and urge you to do the same," she said. "In Bill Owens, I see a sense of duty and integrity that will guide him beyond political partisanship. He will be an independent voice devoted to doing what is right for New York. Bill understands this district and its people, and when he represents us in Congress he will put our interests first."

If there was any doubt she was a RINO, this should cure that misguided notion immediately, if not sooner.
Damn Newt...party loyalty is fine - to a point. But you don't give up your principles as an INDIVIDUAL to do it...otherwise you're a party-line liberal.

Actually, Theyre libertarians that would rather see this country fail if the dont get their way with perversion and other social issues. If they were libertarians, they would actually be fighting for less government.
What they are is punch-drunk, power-hungry freaks who, by implication, are for more and more Government.

Agreed. Her endorsement is undeniable proof that, for all intents and purposes, we are being governed by ONE party. The Government Is The Answer Party.

Unbelievable. Newt is such an idiot.
I wonder how many RINO’s are really just leftists who have purposely infiltrated the Republican party?

The problem goes beyond one seat in the House of Representatives. Since there are only 3 races that are getting any attention (the one in California rarely gets mentioned), if the Democrats are able to pull this one out, that allows the media to downplay any public reaction against Obama’s policies, and allows Pelosi & Co. to put pressure on the “Blue Dogs” to vote for ObamaCare.

How’s that reach out across the aisle, in the spirit of bipartisanship, appeasement working for you OP(formerly the GOP) members?

"This is what moderate and liberal republicans do. They would rather see democrats win than any hated conservative."
Not sure if you are a comic book fan or not, but I am currently watching "Batman and Superman: Public Enemies."
Lex Luthor is elected President of the United States, and Superheroes and Supervillains band together to try to destroy Batman and Superman.
In this same light, I see a GOP candidate banding together with a bunch of damn democrats in order to destroy the Conservative movement.
Scossafava or whatever the hell her name is disgusts me, as Conservative values are what founded our Republic.
Her alliance to the damn democrat party is revolting.

Let’s see what happens on Tuesday. I think you are dead wrong. This district has not elected a Dem to Congress since the Civil War. Hoffman was already leading in two polls and trailed in another by 36% to 35%. McHugh won 65% of the vote in 2008. Are we to believe that more than half of the 20% who are for Dede will vote for the Dem? Fat chance.

“A Democratic source said that Scozzafava and her husband, Ronald P. McDougall, met with U.S. Rep. Steve Israel, D-Huntington, and state Democratic Committee Chairwoman June F. ONeill at a restaurant in Gouverneur on Saturday afternoon to discuss the endorsement.”
