The British Broadcasting Corporation in England has deemed it necessary to try and absolve Darwinism from any responsibility for the Holocaust and the many other atrocities committed in the name of evolutionary progress ever since Darwin published his Origin of Species in 1859. To achieve this, BBC2 produced a TV documentary entitled Darwins Dangerous Idea,[1] written and presented by their journalist and political commentator Andrew Marr. This 3-part series...

Surely you know that evolutionism existed for millenia before Darwin, and that Hitler's views, like most ideas, are founded on multiple sources? His interest in pagan myth does not negate the vital role of evolutionism in his thinking, and Marx's writing prior to Darwin does not negate the value Marx placed on evolutionism (and his excitement when he read Darwin's work promoting it).
Every conservative philosopher and every coherent account of conservative political philosophy I've read has always been squarely founded on a creationist worldview. This has been true from Adam Smith and Edmund Burke down to M. Stanton Evans and Herb Schlossberg. I've never seen even a hint that anyone has built a coherent conservative philosophy on an evolutionary belief system. While I recognize there are many conservatives who believe in evolutionism, I must also challenge them to recognize the incoherence of their worldview.
Marxism precedes Darwin’s theories, so Marx’s theories cannot possibly be the foundation of an as yet unpublished theory.

Oops. So Darwin’s theories, as yet unpublished, cannot provide the foundation for an already existing theories.
Mea culpa.
See post 115 as well. Your premise regarding Hitler has been thoroughly refuted by Hitler’s own writings.
See my reply above. You evolutionists are being disingenuous in pretending that evolutionism starts in 1859 with Charles Darwin. Indeed, you are all too happy to point out that it precedes him when it suits your purposes, so don't try to deny it now.
Correlation of creationism to your own viewpoint is not causation of evolution to other viewpoints.
I suggest you go back and review xcamel’s posting history then, and you will find that she has said all the things I have mentioned and worse (on virtually every one of my threads). And I have no problem defending myself against the vile comments of people who behave like mean, surly drunks in the threads. The problem is, when I try to engage said people, for some reason certain mods pull my replies (or threads) while leaving said vile commentators to abuse their fellow FReepers on the Christian Right to their heart’s content.
Compared to that, Holocaust denial is a piece of cake. I hardly know where to begin. There have been boatloads of evidence in documentaries, papers, articles and books going right back to the 1930's documenting the evolutionary role in Nazi thought - a role many American evolutionists were happy to point out prior to the horrors of WWII. Are you are just going to deny that with a single equivocal quote?
Dirtboy, et al, you guys are in _delusional denial_.
Uh, I hate to tell you this, but evolution as a published theory started with Darwin and Wallace in the late 1850s, well after the Communist Manifesto was published. You made the claim that Communism could not have been developed without evolution. And now you are re-writing history to try to make that claim hold up, instead of simple acknowledging you were wrong.
Which makes further debate with you worthless - debate cannot involve the other side making up facts as they go.
"This is a public forum, which is open to people posting on any thread they choose, unless specifically prohibited by the mods, like some people who have been banned from the religion forum."
Do you agree with her?
Read post 115. Hitler's own words.
So now you would tell us that we should disregard the fact that the Communist Manifesto was published a decade before any publication of evolutionary theories, but evolutionary theory was critical for the development of communist theory.
And you would have us disregard Hitler's own words from Mein Kampf.
Sorry, bub, but I live in the world of facts. Not your fictions.
But making an issue of someone's sobriety is not allowed any longer.
You evolutionists are being disingenuous in pretending that evolutionism starts in 1859 with Charles Darwin.

So which evolutionist did Marx use as the foundation of his beliefs? Surely you can tell us that. And maybe you can point to the relevant passages in Marx’s writings (prior to Darwin) that demonstrate this belief in evolution as the necessary foundation for his theory.
Any response other than bibliographical would be disingenuous.
Until then, you will have to content yourself with the following:
Or.. if you get caught, keep whining to the mods and pointing fingers until you get your way.... or get banned.
Why do you post silly pictures in response to a serious post? Have you nothing of consequence to say?
Gotcha.
GGG - I am having trouble remembering what you have said on this ... can you perhaps share your thoughts on Christians who believe that the earth is as much as 2 million years old? And who do not believe that God created the earth in 6 literal 24 hour days?
You actually raise an interesting point. There were many competing theories of evolution before 1859, such as Lamarck’s. Darwin was the first one to actually prove it by filming it occurring in real time.
(Well, technically he didnt “film” it. He took a large series of daguerreotypes and laid them side by side of a penguin turning into a fish if I remember correctly).
That wolf pic creeps me out.
Have you read Mein Kampf?
Dr. Bergman has a good article - with a good deal more evidence on this subject, at http://www.answersingenesis.org/tj/v13/i2/nazi.asp. There is a ton of additional evidence just a google search away, if you would but avail yourself of it.
The silly thing is, I learned of the Nazi links to evolution as an evolutionist, from evolutionary/mainstream educational sources. It made *perfect sense* to me then as an evolutionist, and I can't imagine how anyone with even a basic grasp of the facts could imagine otherwise. Of course, I rather admired the Nazi's for being the only group brave enough to properly apply evolutionary beliefs instead of beating around the bush. I'm glad I'm no longer a Darwinist!
Notice also they way you evolutionists keep shifting around to avoid our points. I speak of "Nazis" and you ignore 99.99% of them, instead citing Hitler's weird beliefs. I said "Nazi" not "Hitler." Can you cope with the fact that the majority of the Nazi intelligentsia were much more doctrinaire evolutionists - just like you?
