We know that former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin can hunt, and even field-dress a moose, but how will she take to poachers on her book sales? Start-up publisher OR Books has announced plans to publish Going Rouge: Sarah Palin An American Nightmare, a collection of essays about the maverick Republican with a title and cover design remarkably similar to Palins upcoming memoir. Whats more, ORs paperback tome will be released on Nov. 17, the same day that Palins own Going Rogue: An American Life hits shelves and one day after Palins just-announced, first-ever appearance on Oprah Winfreys show. (A shout-out to Ron Hogan at GalleyCat for the tip.)
Going Rouge is compiled by Richard Kim and Betsy Reed, two top editors of the left-leaning weekly The Nation, and includes essays by Nation regulars like Katrina vanden Heuvel, Naomi Klein, and Katha Pollitt. Its the first release from OR Books, a fledgling outfit founded earlier this year by publishing veterans John Oakes and Colin Robinson that embraces progressive change in politics, culture and the way we do business, according to its website.

But I thought Sarah Palin was a nobody to the Left. Apparently not considering they keep coming up with goofball strategies like this in an attempt to discredit her.
Ignorance and Vice
John Adams "It is high Time for the people of this country to declare, whether they will be freemen or slaves? It is an important question which ought to be decided. It concerns us more that anything in this life. The Salvation of our souls is interested in this event. For wherever tyranny is established immorality of every kind comes in like a torrent. It is in the interest of tyrants to reduce the people to ignorance and vice. For the cannot live in a country where virtue and knowledge prevail. The religion and public liberty of a people are intimately connected; their interests are interwoven, they cannot subsist separately; therefore they rise and fall together. For this reason, it is always observable, that those who are combined to destroy the people's liberties, practice every art to poison their morals. How greatly then does it concern us, at all events, to put a stop to the progress of tyranny." --
Maybe we should create a book bashing Obama with the Title “Nightmares of our fathers”.
there is a method to their madness....creating listing confusion on Amazon, causing some % of buyers to order the wrong book and keeping her off the top of the Best Seller list. Quite ingenious and dastardly actually.
This should be the title of a book about the Obama Administration - since they’re definitely “Going Red.”
“I wonder if they are hoping people will order theirs by mistake?”
That’s EXACTLY what they hope.
Next question, who’s financing it, and who is distributing it?
That could be VERY revealing.
Letterman has been running a bit, "Things more fun than reading Sarah Palin's book". Then they show people driving into trees, etc.
He knocked off the jokes about her collaborator when band leader Paul Schaefer humped his new book, written with a collaborator of course.
I always thought it was unfortunate to see they put Palin in bright red.
Surprised they didn’t go all the way. Sarah Plain - Going Rouge.
Don’t get me wrong I love the lady, unfortunate title, and unfortunate shot.
Actually my point is that Sarah scares the hell out of them! Huckabee leads the polls as who will represent the GOP in 2012, yet they must DESTROY Sarah, and ignore Huck.
While your explanation might be valid, I think that this is also a Freudian slip on their part... Wanting to go "Rouge," as in "Khmer Rouge," and would LOVE to create killing fields for their opponents here, much like they allowed and supported in Cambodia.
Mark
That would be racist.

I would imagine her publishers will sue unde copyright infringement, and win. They can pull a cease and desist, ending up costing the ‘start up publisher’ significant $$$.
Do we want to lay odds that the ‘start up publisher’ got its seed money from a certain Soros or one of his buddies?
It’s absolutely astounding how much energy the left (and moderates in our own party) spend screaming that Sarah Palin isn’t worth the energy. . .
After all, she’s just some B-actor that couldn’t even win his own primary in 1976. . . Who does she think she is to even try to run with the big dogs on the national stage.
Sorry, I may have confused two different people there. Easy to do, as it’s the same fear coming from the left. “Teflon” wasn’t a compliment.
How much do you want to bet Oprah will present both books. I smell a set up.
No thanks. dont want to touch the damn things, let alone throw em.
Wouldn’t they (the publishers) need permission to use Sarah’s picture on that book?
Years ago there was a “biography” about Frank Sinatra and he sued the person who wrote it (Kitty someone) and won. I believe part of his win was because she had used his picture on the cover. Anyone have a clear memory of that?
Shows how dumb libs are. After I vomit I have no desire to get it back or to ever see it again. They wallow in it.
Kity Kelley?
