We know that former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin can hunt, and even field-dress a moose, but how will she take to poachers on her book sales? Start-up publisher OR Books has announced plans to publish Going Rouge: Sarah Palin An American Nightmare, a collection of essays about the maverick Republican with a title and cover design remarkably similar to Palins upcoming memoir. Whats more, ORs paperback tome will be released on Nov. 17, the same day that Palins own Going Rogue: An American Life hits shelves and one day after Palins just-announced, first-ever appearance on Oprah Winfreys show. (A shout-out to Ron Hogan at GalleyCat for the tip.)
Going Rouge is compiled by Richard Kim and Betsy Reed, two top editors of the left-leaning weekly The Nation, and includes essays by Nation regulars like Katrina vanden Heuvel, Naomi Klein, and Katha Pollitt. Its the first release from OR Books, a fledgling outfit founded earlier this year by publishing veterans John Oakes and Colin Robinson that embraces progressive change in politics, culture and the way we do business, according to its website.

That is the idea. In the bookstores they are hoping people will buy it by mistake.
In case you're wondering why the opted to put Sarah Palin on the cover, rather than pictures of the actual embittered typists:
How LOW can the left go?? This seems maybe not illegal but crossing the line.
More to the point, none of this idiocy with Obama’s book.
Interesting to know how much they think of this as a political expose and how much they are hoping that people will buy the book, mistaking it for Sarah’s.
If you didn’t look too closely, you might easily buy it by mistake. They obviously see this is an opportunity to ride her popularity in order to make money for themselves.
I’m sure that is completely on purpose. They can’t name it the same so they make it close and rouge also has a parody meaning.
That's my question, too. It seems like a quick trip to a (fair) judge would halt shipment of this clearly-designed-to-mislead copyright infringement.
"Oooh....this will be SO cool! It will LOOK like her book but we'll totally trash her! That will teach her to steal Sammy from me!"
The left hates Sarah Palin BECAUSE she is a perfectly charming, old fashioned conservative.
I think some may...I actually like the picture on the lefty book of Sarah...Well hopefully this will bomb. I think it will actually.

Goes to show you that the left can never win in a debate over ideas, they need to attack and throw mud.
Rule 5: Ridicule is mans most potent weapon. Its hard to counterattack ridicule, and it infuriates the opposition, which then reacts to your advantage. Obama mentor Saul Alinsky
“SarahPAC should be well-funded enough to obtain an injuction against this book cover.”
Indeed. Parody is fine. Freedom to write an anti-Palin book is fine (sigh). In my opinion, however, publishing a book whose design is intended to fool people into thinking they’re buying a DIFFERENT book is NOT fine.
Some years ago, the band Negativland put out a CD with the title “U2” and were NAILED for it, since people could easily have been fooled into thinking they were buying a CD by the band U2. I don’t see why this slimy Palin hack-job should be considered any differently.
Part of the plan. It is a take off of some reporter who pronounced it that way a couple of weeks ago when Palin’s book was announced. Someone got the idea from that and took off with it. Spelling is close!
Going Rogue vs. Going Rouge is probably a cosmetics joke, like ‘lipstick on a pig’
Hopefully she will wait long enough so they can spend large amounts on printing the piece of crap before she obtains an injuction.
CS Lewis, in “Screwtape Letters”, outlined this behavior perfectly, from a demonic viewpoint.
My dear Wormwood, it is of greatest use to make the patient view the choices of others as a personal affront. Any choice that others make should be seen in the light of “I bet she thinks she’s better than me because she chose that instead of what I chose - I hate her for that.”
There's one that argues against everything in Romney's proposals. Unfortunately it was also writen by Romney. :-)
I'm tempted to buy Going Rouge just so I can return it.
LOL!
These people are burning through a huge amount of cash going after Sarah. Serious money swirling in the bowl here.
