WASHINGTON — White House advisers pledged on Sunday to book administration officials on Fox News despite claims by the president's inner circle that the cable network is a GOP mouthpiece whose programming “is geared toward making money.”
Last week, White House communications director Anita Dunn said Fox News operates “almost as either the research arm or the communications arm of the Republican Party.” On Sunday, Rahm Emanuel, President Barack Obama's chief of staff, said, “It is not a news organization so much as it has a perspective.”
In response to the criticism, Fox News executive Michael Clemente on Sunday accused the White House of continuing to “declare war on a news organization” rather than focusing on issues such as jobs and health care.

I have never seen a bunch more against "being geared toward making money" but they can outspend it faster than any administration in history!

I wish the White House would vow to “play nice” with us citizens.
Looks like a singularly inept “good cop, bad cop” routine.
First they send out around a dozen of their top guns to tell everyone that Fox is not a news organization. Then they tell AP that they didn’t mean it?
Oh, sure. Does anyone think that Murdoch is that dumb?
I heard on FOX today that she was leaving at the end of the year so she is out there to lob salvos without any real penalty to herself. And McAufful was saying that the WH would come on FOX but he is not in the administration..though he is of the same mind as those thugs.
I mean come on guys.
Everyone knew this was a losing battle for the WH.
If they want to discuss their policies in a serious manner. They have to go to where the VIEWERS are...right?

The headline doesn’t match the story:
Appearing on ABC’s This Week, senior Obama adviser David Axelrod said Fox News shouldn’t be treated as a news organization. “And the bigger thing is that other news organizations, like yours, ought not to treat them that way, and we’re not going to treat them that way,” he said.
Still, Axelrod said administration officials would appear on the channel. He shrugged off News Corp. chairman Rupert Murdoch’s remark to shareholders on Friday that since the White House began criticizing Fox News commentators their ratings have risen.
“You know, I’m not concerned. Mr. Murdoch has a talent for making money, and I understand that their programming is geared toward making money,” Axelrod said. “The only argument Anita was making is that they’re not really a news station. ... It’s not just their commentators, but a lot of their news programming. It’s really not news. It’s pushing a point of view.”
Emanuel appeared on CNN’s State of the Union.

This sure doesn’t look like they are making nice with Fox but are ‘willing’ to have some people appear after they took more swipes at Fox News.

Looks to me like they only caved to have people appear on Fox News and not much else. Never did say if they were backing off the attacks which I doubt.
Oh no! No more Glenn Beck shows on the subject.
It’s not so much the Cabinet’s role to advise the President on any subject as it is to advise the President on those opposed to his socialistic agenda.
Well you KNOW that the AP is going to do everything they can to get the HEAT off of the WH.
Thus the headline.
I posted due to the fact that it came out what 6 hours AFTER all the smarmy remarks on the Sunday Shows.

It’s called CYA! Say one thing , do another. that is their M.O.
But it was so “fun.”
Plus, it motivated Fox to dig up dirt on Obama’s appointees. We found out that Dunn admires one of the worst mass murders in human history.
I hope they don’t stop. It is good for the soul of this country.
