Mafioso, Goon Squad, Communist, Nazi, Jihadi, Democrat politics as usual--whatever you want to call the thuggish tactics of the Obama administration, the very public threats they are making to the news media to not follow the lead of Fox News in questioning Obama's policies and personnel is a direct threat to the freedoms guaranteed in the First Amendment.
This morning on the Sunday talk shows, speaking on behalf of President Barack Obama, senior Obama advisers David Axelrod and Rahm Emanuel carried on the war initiated by White House communictions director Anita Dunn last week on CNN.
Axelrod appeared on ABC News' This Week, telling George Stephanopoulos:
"A lot of their news programming, it's really not news, it's pushing a point of view. And the bigger thing is that other news organizations like yours ought not to treat them that way, and we’re not going to treat them that way."
Chief of Staff Emanuel told John King on CNN's State of the Union that the president himself does not view Fox as a legitimate news network:
...The way the President looks at it, we look at it, it's not a news organization so much as it has a perspective. And that's a different take. And more importantly, is not have the CNNs and the others in the world basically be led and following Fox, as if that, what they’re trying to do is a legitimate news organization..."
Emanuel then went on to deny that the White House is focused on Fox to the detriment of other issues facing Obama:
"I mean the concentration of the White House isn’t about what Fox is doing. It’s a concentration about what does it take to make sure the economy’s moving, creating jobs, helping the economy grow, making sure that we responsibly withdraw from Iraq, making sure the decisions we make on Afghanistan..."
But to accomplish his goals, Obama and his Chicago goons have decided they need to clear the field, in this case Fox News, like they have done throughout their ascendency to power.
Once again, Obama froze out Fox News' Sunday program today with Emanuel appearing on CBS' Face the Nation and CNN, Axelrod on ABC and close aide Valerie Jarrett fielding softballs from David Gregory on NBC's Meet the Press. Former Democratic National Committee chairman Terry McAuliffe appeared on Fox, saying he was briefed by the White House beforehand.
The message is clear: Obey Obama or lose access, get attacked and be culled from the herd. Unspoken, but well understood, is that the Obama administration has the regulatory and investigatory power to destroy those in the news media who get in their way.
So this means if I watch Fox News I won’t have to see the ugly mug of Axelrod, or hear the whiny ballet voice of Rahm - or see Bambi himself? Best news I’ve heard in months...thanks Kristinn

This administration is accusing millions of citizens of being too stupid to know what news is. This isn’t about FOX News, this is about the right of the people to get information regarding our “elected” officials and those they employ on our behalf. Which is becoming more and more difficult as time goes by.
Amazing this assault is going on while the tea partiers are calling out the MSM.

Wow! Apparently the mere existence of Fox News has got this whole corrupt administration shaking in its shoes.
This gets more amusing by the day.
You know what is funny? The playbooks the Admin is reading from (no doubt in the original Russian) are technologically redundant today. You can’t have a Pravda or even a handful of them with today’s massive instant communications. It’s a joke that they even try.
And putting the brains of people still clinging to their old channels (excusing some of the elderly who simply don’t know better) against the rest of us is a laughing matchup. Bring it.
I've wondered that too. But progressives are very slow to realize how misled and played they get. Hollywood is STILL fawning over Gore and Moore. And Obama. Ironically, "progressives" just do not catch on very quickly.
It’s insanity. All of those people who showed up in DC (every one of which had at least ten more at home supporting them and wishing they could be there) get what’s going on and mean to do all they can to stop it, and the administration announces that they are not representative.
I believe they know better, but they believe that we can be thwarted, like Rush who lost nothing but the opportunity to have yet another way to enjoy himself.

Obama has been distracting America with “Whats he hiding behind his back” For a long time now. The important thing has been sitting on the table in front of him from the start. His Dad is British, Obama jr. was never a Natural Born Citizen.
He has had people running after the behind the back thing, distracting from what has been public all along.

People will start REALLY talking about this once Hawaii has to tell how it came to declare Obama a Natural Born Citizen when not even SCOTUS has ever made a specific decision on the matter.
Parents who are citizens born of US soil. Its all plural this requirement, and Obama only has one. He has 2/3rds of the requirements for Natural Born Citizen, and its about to go public. VERY public.
So of course they have to try and Paoint Fox as totally Biased, its their last ditch effort to save their asses.
You are right. The other news organizations may as well call themselves the ObamaMedia. As for the Republican Party, they will remain largely impotent as long as they have "leaders" like McCain and Graham who are more than happy to capitulate to Democrats. If the White House could just get rid of Fox, could just neuter them so to speak, there wouldn't hardly be anything standing in the way to stop them from sneaking through one destructive policy after another upon a mostly uninformed public (for to be informed by the ObamaMedia is to be uninformed).
Talk Radio of course remains a powerful voice but the left have been able to cordon it off from large swaths of the public by effectively labeling it as nothing more than a mouthpiece of the Republican party and/or the far right. It's a powerful adversary but one that is pretty much kept on a leash and can only nip at their heels. The left keep trying to do the same with Fox but so far haven't been as successful as they need to be, and they know it, which is why they are turning things up a notch. Perhaps it is a sign that they are getting desperate though, for it seems to be a risky strategy, one that could easily backfire.
As you say, hopefully this will lead to their downfall.
