They probably blamed Pearl for nosing around where he “shouldn’t have.”
But here is America feeding a Christian to the lions.

“She will be in the custody of Franklin County (Columbus) Childrens Services.”
Yeah she should feel as comfortable as Salmon Rushdie in the Riyahd Hilton.

Does that mean she lives in a halfway house or will she live at home and the CPS just checks in every week?
Week 4, she’s dead.... oops, sorry Child Protection Service!

A guardian ad litem should be appointed by a court to look after the best interest of the child. What a miscarriage of justice to doom this kid.

“Why isnt her lawyer fighting for emancipation?”
Some catch-22 stuff. Ohio doesn’t allow emancipation.
Florida allows but requires parent/guardian approval...
To: taxcontrol
The article says there is no emancipation law in OH.

Youre all jumping the gun. She will be in the custody of Franklin County (Columbus) Childrens Services.Only until her parents go to court to get her released back to their custody. Her teachers and adult friends have known the abuse and beatings she has taken but have not come forward to date. Whether they have been intimidated and told not to speak because they are teachers or are just afraid, I don't know. With it only being her word against her parents and those that know remaining silent, her chances of staying in foster care for another ten months until she is 18 are slim to none. Pray for her and all who suffer in Jesus name.

“The article says there is no emancipation law in OH.”
And this gutless judge just wanted the problem out of his jurisdiction.

Being in the charge of Social Workers will really help her life expectancy.

Scumbag father will probably marry her off to some tribal idiot in Waziristan!
To: Never on my watch
What can they do to her if she refuses to go to her parents house? Are they going to put her in jail? I’d bet she will be safer in jail.

If I were the escort, I would hand her a Trac phone, a few hundred dollars and accidently take my eye off of her during a stop at a church in a trustworthy neighborhood.

She will be a prisoner in her own house never out of sight of her brother or male cousins. It will be like that Sally Fields movie “Not without my daughter.”

You just hit on something. She needs a marriage of convenience.
What’s age of consent in Ohio?
