Judge Land Fines Orly Taitz $20K, File Copy of Order with State Bar of CA
United States District Court (Georgia) ^ | 10/13/2009 | Judge Clay Land

Posted on 10/13/2009 7:45:31 AM PDT by BuckeyeTexan

When a lawyer files complaints and motions without a reasonable basis for believing that they are supported by existing law or a modification or extension of existing law, that lawyer abuses her privilege to practice law. When a lawyer uses the courts as a platform for a political agenda disconnected from any legitimate legal cause of action, that lawyer abuses her privilege to practice law. When a lawyer personally attacks opposing parties and disrespects the integrity of the judiciary, that lawyer abuses her privilege to practice law. When a lawyer recklessly accuses a judge of violating the Judicial Code of Conduct with no supporting evidence beyond her dissatisfaction with the judge’s rulings, that lawyer abuses her privilege to practice law. When a lawyer abuses her privilege to practice law, that lawyer ceases to advance her cause or the ends of justice.

-snip-

Regrettably, the conduct of counsel Orly Taitz has crossed these lines, and Ms. Taitz must be sanctioned for her misconduct. After a full review of the sanctionable conduct, counsel’s conduct leading up to that conduct, and counsel’s response to the Court’s show cause order, the Court finds that a monetary penalty of $20,000.00 shall be imposed upon counsel Orly Taitz as punishment for her misconduct, as a deterrent to prevent future misconduct, and to protect the integrity of the Court. Payment shall be made to the United States, through the Middle District of Georgia Clerk’s Office, within thirty days of today’s Order. If counsel fails to pay the sanction due, the U.S. Attorney will be authorized to commence collection proceedings.

If you actually take the time to read and comprehend the Constitution, you would see the framers included an amendment process and that process was followed to give women the right to vote, so it looks like the Founder’s intent on how the Constitution is “living” was followed in that case.

The secretaries of state have the responsibility to place qualified people on the ballot for the STATE primariies.
Prior to last year the state of Cal had removed two presidential candidates because their birth certificates showed they were too young to run for president.

Er, which is it? Do states determine who is eligible to be listed on the Presidential ballot, or not?

(The answer turns out to be "yes, they do". Presidential electors are ultimately elected by the states; there are, strictly speaking, no "national" elections.)

No they didn't. At least as a universal document that everyone gets, they are a relatively modern invention. My grandmother didn't have one.

Lot of people lived and died in this county without ever having contact with a government official, or even voting, for one.

I knew many people who obtained birth certificates based on family Bibles, in which most families recorded births and deaths. Strange considering we were a Nation of heathens. </ Sarcasm>

They probably are lawyers. If I was arguing with janitors or used car salesmen, there might be an occasional flicker of intelligence from their side.

LoL!

When I lived in Tulsa, same thing. Tornadoes, Hail, Floods. Get to work and help a few others while you are at it.

No point bitching about it. You live in green country and Tornado Alley. Deal with it.

Since Sen. Obama has neither renounced his U.S. citizenship nor sworn an oath of allegiance to Kenya, his Kenyan citizenship automatically expired on Aug. 4,1982.”

Leo Donofrio has debunked that statement. According to his research THAT citizenship Kenya/British has NOT expired!!!

Do you understand why BO has spent well over 1M to protect his any/all records that show what he claims?

The sec of state in Cal did not check the qualifications for the candidates in the state primary. Obama ran in the state primary in California. If you want to know her authority look it up. I made my statement in 536.

None of this would take more than an afternoon, yet he would rather engage DoJ lawyers to spend many hours fighting the production of any documents.

And who is footing that bill???

That was a great video until I saw you waste a beer with your gun.

Alcohol abuse! What if you had run out of beer and that was the one you needed?

LOL

Why not?

No point bitching about it.

Exactly.

None of us were up on roofs crying for help.

We were too busy firing up generators and chainsaws.

Like I said, it was fun. A good exercise.

Get to work and help a few others while you are at it.

Exactly so!

Don't you guys have to reveal you are being paid, under the new law just passed?

Y'know, getting paid to rebut conspiracy theories would be a sweet gig.

Too bad I don't have it. Like I've said before, I'm a libertarian. I voted for Barr. I'm not exactly a prime candidate to work for a Democratic administration. And it'd take a lot of money to pay me to defend this administration's budget deficits or economic policies.

You trolls crack me up. First you huff and puff that your boy marxist followed all the protocol necessary to be president. Then you say he presented his COLB to FactCheck as if that is some great evidence that he’s followed the protocol.

And you Birthers are a hoot, too. You complain that Obama is violating the law, and can provide no law other than you opinion that he has violated. You whine that he hasn't proven his natural-born citizenship, but the fact of the matter is he just hasn't proven it to your satisfaction. The fact of the matter is that there is nothing that identifies what valid documentation of qualifications is, so at the end of the day Obama's claims are just as valid and just as factual as your's are.

If you are going to pretend that Obama has done all that is necessary to be considered an NBC, at least get rid of the damn COLB argument.

And if you're going to insist that he hasn't done all that is necessary, then at least point to the law that lays out exactly what he has to do.

My post 484 slam dunked you. So again, your allusion or delusions or illusions that Palin was likely born in Canada. Answer: zilch. As you see, there's plenty of evidence that Obama is not NBC.

For instance, Ralph Nader is the son of immigrants. I'd say there's a fair chance he was born with dual citizenship. He's run for President three or four times, and made a pretty substantial impact once. Yet no one ever asked him about his parents' citizenship status at the time of his birth during ANY of those campaigns.

Oh, really?? Then it's way past time to challenge Nader on his citizenship status.

You're good at 'topic sliding' I'll give you that.
