In another blow to the false narrative advanced by Tea Party operatives and Fox News that the movement is a “grassroots” uprising of ordinary Americans. A co-founder of the national anti-tax Tea Party Patriots movement, failed to disclose during her numerous media interviews and TV appearances that she and her husband filed for bankruptcy and owed the IRS half a million dollars.

Some ordinary Joes lose their own shirt in business, and file a legit bankruptcy, and this website can't find super rich DemoRat office holders that HAVE the money and don't pay taxes deliberately? Read the comments.
You wasted your time.
You got that right.
The smears on the teapartiers is getting uglier by the moment.
why would someone who owes the IRS $500K be anti-tax?
D’OH
Would someone who is bankrupt maybe not be able to pay half a millon in taxes? D’OH!
Did Turbo-tax Timmy Geithner and Charlie Rankle fail to pay taxes because they were bankrupt?
um...so?
Yet another reason for them to want to lead a tax revolt...
The stupid IRS sent me a $7000 bill and took 90% of my paycheck - nevermind that they were WRONG and that I had children to feed- 90% of your paycheck must seem fair to them
I got it back, eventually...
She needs to contact Roni Deutch. Roni can reduce that $500,000 tax lien to virtually nothing:
Then, she needs to contact the White House about a cabinet appointment!

Leftists dufuses think the personal income tax disposition of individual citizen protest organizers is somehow equivalent to that of Obama's cabinet appointees? Is THAT it?
It's entirely irrelevant, in this case.
I wonder if these people have any problems with Charlie Rangel’s tax evasions?
She’s in a good position to know how destructive our existing tax environment is to business then.
It’s simply shocking how much money all levels of government demand... Add in all of the other fees, compliance issues, general operating expenses, accountants, frivolous lawsuits, etc. and you’re sometimes lucky to bring a little home for yourself.
I fail to see the point of this attack. If I owed the IRS half a mil, I’d protest, too. Pretty weak, libs.
This is what the media is after, anyone they can claim to be the Tea Party Leaders or Founders, which we know this is a grassroots movement by hundreds of Individuals.
Whomever they tag as the Founders of the Tea Parties will be treated much worse than Palin or Quayle.
This hasn’t hit the mainstream progressive news media yet AFAIK, but when it does I expect the same kinds of condescension from the journalist chattering class.
doubt it-taxes are for ‘little people’...
And I believe something like eighty percent of congress has bankrupted at least one company in their past. I would like to see a report on that subject....still waiting
“The smears on the teapartiers is getting uglier by the moment.”
Wear it as a badge of honor. The British regulars didn’t say too many nice things about the Colonial Army. Now we just need a satirical tune like “Yankee Doddle” to sing at Tea Party rallies.
Are you up for that?
IMHO she has a valid reason to be anti tax if that is what she and her husband owed prior to bankruptsy. Unlike Obama’s team who all STILL owed the government. Typical of the left to try to demonize those who do things the right way.
