What did she say?
Oops!
They got almost 20. Isn’t that enough for a sure trip to the Super Bowl. Maybe they’ll get there the same year the Cubbies get to the World Series. Geesh! I’m depressed.
Not joking at all.
You again missed the point. Rush was commenting on McNabbs play and stats at THAT POINT in the season which were really bad and how the press refused to acknowledge his poor play which lead to the comments Rush made.
The comments Rush made had nothing to do with his stats the year before or the games afterward.
Last time I looked, there were 32 teams and they all had at least one kicker, LOL.
So why are you spewing hatred De Maurice?
Just turned on Triv, Don’t know what he’ll say though. Missed the first 1/2 hour.
Of course his bid will be approved if it’s the top bid. the owners are businessmen. The players are ... not.
Rush may have been wrong, or right about the McNabb comment. What difference does it make. those sports announcers are wrong 7 days a week and twice on Sunday.
Rush is not a racist and if he wants to buy a sorry team and has the money, he should be able to do so.
No it DOES matter in regard to Rush and his comments. Because Rush said the reason the press fawned on McNabb was his race, while it wasn’t a racIST comment is was certainly a race BASED comment. Rush pointlessly, needlessly, and wrongly made a racial comment.
Given how often Rush goes after Sharpton and the rest of that crowd did you really think they were just going to let it ride?
Same here. I have paid no attention to pro sports for many years. College football is far better entertainment in my book.
You must not listen to Rush if you think he only goes after Sharpton. He goes after all who deserve it...black, white or mixed.
The difference it makes is that he used race to attack the media and then had the audacity to be surprised when it blew up in his face. It really was one of his stupidest moments, starting with the assumption that the reason the press liked McNabb was his race (and thus ignoring decades of the press fawning all over players like McNabb in every way but skin color), through his actually making the comment only a couple of weeks into his new gig when he knew that all his critics were desperately hoping for just that kind of borderline comment they could twist, and then finally doing no form of damage control on his radio show. This is an albatross he volunteered to put around his neck.
I didn’t say he only goes after Sharpton. I said he FREQUENTLY goes after Sharpton AND his ilk.
My sincerest apologies. I forgot about the kickers.
Wrote what? I am the only guy defending McNabb for being a decent QB. I am a Giant fan. I don't need to defend him. But Rush didn't just mention race (about which he was right) but also his stats (after only 4 games in 2003), and McNabb had just come off 2 straight NFC title games and 3 straight Pro Bowls, so Rush was dead wrong to say he was a crappy QB. Dead wrong in 2003 and dead wrong in 2009.
Perhaps, but I don't necessarily think it has to do with his race. He's a pretty good quarterback that tries hard, isn't much of a head case, and has had more than a fair amount of success in the NFL.
The media certainly doesn't have any problem critizing, say, Vince Young or JaMarcus Russell, does it? If Rush is correct about this, why don't Young and Russell get passes?
McNabb is untouchable because of the alleged racist remarks by Rush. You think any NFL pundit will go there after seeing what happened to Rush? Hell no. That is what makes McNabb untouchable.
