Incitement Rhetoric Gets Even More Dangerous (NewsMax's Military Coup Article)

Just eight months into a Democratic administration, Newsmax is running a piece speculating about a military overthrow of the elected leadership of the United States government. Seriously.
Newsmax columnist John L. Perry encourages his right-wing readers not to "dismiss" the notion of an American military coup as "unrealistic."
America isn't the Third World. If a military coup does occur here it will be civilized. That it has never happened doesn't mean it wont [sic]. Describing what may be afoot is not to advocate it....
Imagine a bloodless coup to restore and defend the Constitution through an interim administration that would do the serious business of governing and defending the nation. Skilled, military-trained, nation-builders would replace accountability-challenged, radical-left commissars. Having bonded with his twin teleprompters, the president would be detailed for ceremonial speech-making.
Military intervention is what Obama's exponentially accelerating agenda for "fundamental change" toward a Marxist state is inviting upon America. A coup is not an ideal option, but Obama's radical ideal is not acceptable or reversible.
In April, a common Republican talking point was the notion that Democrats were creating some kind of "banana republic." In retrospect, the irony is rich.
There is an unmistakable trend in right-wing rhetoric in the direction of extremism and violence. It's not at all healthy, and it's a sign of conservative contingents gone stark raving mad.

Ammo sales are still insane. I cant even imagine how many guns and how much ammo has been stockpiled just since November.
~~~
Most folks around here agree on the 90 million gun-owner #.
Give or take,,,
All the ammo plants are runnin’ 24/7,,,
Still almost no ammo in the stores,,,
US Military has just under 3 million,,,
LEO’s under 1 million,,,
Ain’t gunna be much of a war...;0)
"...Imagine a bloodless coup..."
Did you catch that?! Yeah...right. Imagine a world with no liberals. Imagine world peace. Imagine monkeys flying out of my ass!
People in power who have as much power as those being discussed here do not part with it nicely, or willingly...EVER. They dishonestly acquired it. They'll go to similar means to retain it. Lest anybody forget, these are a people who murder the unborn and call it a victory for women's Constitutional rights. These are people who sanction common thievery from those who work honestly and give it to those who WON'T. These are the people who's self existence is based on fascism, hatred, and violence.
I think that to imagine anything such as this to be bloodless at this point is wishful thinking at best.
Both Benen’s and Perry’s articles are ridiculous. There will be no military coup. Conservative Republicans will not support a military coup, and I doubt there is one brewing among the nation’s military officers. Obama will run for election in 2012...and most likely get beaten.
The ‘coup’ was in November ‘09.
If the military does anything, it will be the restoration of the republic.
It's pretty clear that the current crew and their cronies are carrying out the Cloward-Piven strategy. It's not as if they are trying to hide it. They are spending amounts of money that are beyond any kind of comprehension even though we are broke and they are passing legislation that is, at the very least, designed to cripple the economy (cap and trade). They are generating crisis just as they have told us they would.Yep...
I might add that the controlling authorities do have access to nukes and while the military might not all support Obama, a good portion will and one good launch of a nuke to a “troublesome” area say Texas, and that’s it for a military rebellion for generations. Civil disobedience on a mass scale would grind things to a hault, but it takes time to work and we have to be prepared for conditions like Eritrea and Somalia.
I don’t put it past this “progressive” crowd to use nukes to acheive their objectives!
“...to a troublesome area say Texas...”
...will never happen
And EVEN IF (chances slim to none)it did, the unintended consequence would be exact opposite of what you predict.
A single nuke anywhere would rile the people and there would be no more US military.
You know, I am beginning to think that CW II wouldn't amount to much. With the numbers of people on each side -the hard core numbers- the leftists wouldn't stand much of a chance. They'll fold up rapidly under the pressure from we constitutionalists. We have the numbers, the means and the vast majority of the military. The federal law enforcement numbers just aren't sufficient to sustain the left for very long. Consider the numbers: FBI -circa 10,000. ATF -2500 (commissioned) various other agencies perhaps another 20,000. Not even one division in numbers. Citizens who can and will oppose them: Millions!
Ad to this the reality that many of the above number would actively or passively aid the constitutionalists and the fact that they are widely dispersed throughout the country and constitutionalists would easily carry the day. That's not to say that there wouldn't be casualties. But that the outcome would be easily decided.
