McCain's push to remake the party is all about locking the conservative party out, ensuring that a Rino is chosen during the primary's long before a conservative state gets a chance to vote. Sarah's book is selling through the roof unlike anything they've ever seen, she is threat the liberal gravy train (and I'm talking about the Republicans here not democrats). They will do everything the keep her out. McCain and others are already laying plans and taking actions to derail her campaign.
Sarah, if you are reading this you cannot save the Republican party, they are way too far gone. You also cannot win a Republican primary, it will be long over before your base gets to vote, you must start a new party, even if you lose the first time you will win a 2nd time, you are young, start now. If you're motivation is to take back the Republican party then I do not support you, it is a cancer on our nation, it cannot be saved.
Well then. Shoot the Rino. We conservatives, nor Sarah, are afraid of a little big game hunting. :-).

That said, a third party would be a disaster. We are strong enough to take back the Republican party but you MUST join the party NOW and fight back in the primaries!

What we need to do is convince vast numbers of activist Democrats that Sarah Palin would be an utter flop as a candidate in 2012. They’re already vigorously recycling that meme amongst themselves, so it shouldn’t need much help. Then we suggest to them to mount an Operation Chaos where they register Republican or otherwise vote in open primaries and force Sarah Palin to be a major contender for the nomination. She gets in. She knocks everyone cold. Then we sit back and laugh at the Rat fools that have been had on November 2012.

If we end up with a third party this time around, it will be because the GOP simply refused to accept reality. I've held my nose and voted for a RINO for the last time in my life.
That traitorous bastard known as John McCain can kiss my @ss and so can anyone else in the Republican Party that can't see the path the've kept conservatives on. It's over now and they can decide whether to join us or let the GOP become the "third party" because lately they're all nothing but Liberal Lites and I'm sick of it.

Reagan took back the party from Rinos. Nothing has changed since 1979.
