A simmering feud over U.S. policy toward Latin America burst into the open Thursday when Sen. John F. Kerry (D-Mass.) tried to prevent a fact-finding trip to Honduras by a Republican senator who is blocking two important diplomatic appointments.
Sen. Jim DeMint (R-S.C.) denounced Kerry's move on the Senate floor and sought the intervention of the minority leader, Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.). The Republican leader appealed to the Defense Department to provide an aircraft for DeMint's trip and the Pentagon agreed to do so, according to the South Carolina senator's office.

Kerry is one of those "dumber" Communists who cannot quite mask his lack of intelligence and class, IMO. He is kind of entertaining to watch, like the general in Iraq who kept announcing that they were winning; at which time you could see the statues of Hussein being toppled in the background.
Nobody stopped treasonous liberal politicians from visiting Saddam Hussein on the eve of war. They should have with ropes and guns. But this?
Bush has the same over-whelming need to be liked by liberals as McCain has. That makes him, in my book, a coward.
He let us down. He let us down bigtime. All so that he would be liked by liberals.
He is largely responsible for the McCain candidacy which is largely responsible for the Obama Presidency.
Busch->McCain->Obama.
All of a piece.
And the fact is, the events speak for themselves. Carter travels the world standing up for dictators.
But President Bush... standing up for freedom... < sound of crickets >...
[It’s been awhile since the events of Honduras took place. Are you waiting for Bush to go down there? Don’t hold your breath.]
Nice thread hijack, there. Please get lost.
Personally, I think Carter is out of line in many of his trips and I don't think - to be consistent - that Bush has any business inserting himself into these situations unless specifically asked to by the current POTUS.
Since that's not likely to happen any time soon I think Bush's silence is the appropriate behavior during 0bama's presidency. After that maybe, when appropriate, Bush can stretch his wings and get involved like Clinton is.
Bill Clinton, as much as I dislike him, has handled himself professionally since leaving office (at least as it regards this specific issue. Please don't misunderstand my limited approval here.)
LMAO
Glad I could help. There were so many good Kerry dork-shots, but these nicely summed up the dumb-assedness that is Kerry.
I agree with you about Clinton, esp compared to Carter.
Someone else made the suggestion that Bush go to Honduras, not me. I was just responding to it.

Flame on. Just realize how ridiculous YOU look in bashing GWB.
"These bullying tactics by the Obama administration and Senator Kerry must stop, and we must be allowed to get to the truth in Honduras," DeMint said in a statement.
This administration has really tried to manipulate what information gets to the public. I hope DeMint holds a press confrence. Kerry also did not want the health bill but on-line.
It’s hollow.
Am I talking about the pumpkin?
Yes, it clears up a lot, thanks for posting. It’s great the Pentagon okayed a flight for them, it kinda shows where out military stands on the stance by the Honduran people.
Don, I explained it yesterday! Someone asked why the Democrats could go anywhere they wanted when the Republicans controlled Congress. My answer: “Because the Republicans allowed them to. Congressional delegations have to be approved by the committee(s) of jurisdiction. When the Republicans held the chairmanships, they let anyone go anywhere they wanted. And this is the thanks they get.” John Kerry exceeds his own, personal land speed record for arrogance. And displays the Left’s true totalitarian colors. Aren’t you reading my posts? :)
