Palin's title: 'Going Rogue' (wow - 1.5M 1st printing)
Politico ^ | 9-28-09 | Mike Allen

Sarah Palin’s publisher plans to announce Tuesday that the title of her eagerly awaited memoir will be “Going Rogue: An American Life.”

Publication is being moved up from spring to Nov. 17 in order to catch the holiday book-buying season. The former Alaska governor has been in huge demand as a speaker, and continues to harvest a bounty of media attention.

A mammoth first printing of 1.5 million copies has been ordered — the same first run as “True Compass,” the memoir of the late Sen. Edward M. Kennedy.

Palin had a deadline of Sept. 15 for her manuscript and turned it in a bit early. Copy-editing and fact-checking are now underway in a race to meet the crash publishing schedule, which has been accelerated four or five months because of the huge anticipated demand.

After Palin left office on July 26, she went with her husband, Todd, and her children to San Diego, the home of her collaborator, Lynn Vincent, and worked on the book for several weeks.

Later, Palin spent several days in New York, going over the final edits.

Palin mischievously embraced the phrase “going rogue” at the end of her troubled campaign for vice president on the ticket headed by Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.).

The phrase has its roots in an Oct. 20 story by Slate's John Dickerson, with the lead: "Has Sarah Palin "gone rogue"?"

Agreed. Its a chess game.I've been doing this since Goldwater (in diapers, mind you) and its always a guess. I'm furious with the GOP establishment right now. Bunch of selfish traitors who have sold our platform down the drain for NOTHING. Absolutely nothing. Cheap minds in expensive suits who know nothing about non-white America, poverty, social struggle or any of the other forces at work daily to make sure we never hold power again. We need a new team of fresh conservative players who understand power and know how to use it to advance conservative goals and principles.Just like the Left...

I think Palin understands this and is assembling a team of players who understand conservative principles and how to get and KEEP power. I'm not on her team yet. But.. I'm getting real close.

It does seem as if Washington attracts and still further ruins big-government Republicans. It may be that it takes a Carter/Obama to stir what is a bottom-up revolution every time the party lurches back to sanity. I do sense anyway that we are in the midst of one of those lurchings. But much damage is done before the American people are spurred to action.

As a certified nattering nabob of GOP negativism, I hope you are correct. We need a bottom to top purge and a reaffirmation to conservative principles that America, the majority, can support. We can own this government in 2010-2012 if we get our act together...

I was in diapers during Goldwater too—but I guess you were more precocious than me!

Last time I checked it takes lots of money to run for president.

I hate to say it, but its true.

If Sarah Palin makes a few million and invests it in her campaign, more power to her.

As has been noted before Randy Scheunemann stood up for Palin when other McCain staff were stabbing her in the back, especially transplanted Romneyites.

the candidate that is most electable

Right now, no Republican is more electable than Sarah Palin. The Democrats recognize this, and their desperation is clear. The RINOs know this, and their desperation is clear.

They are so desperate that they are sending swarms of infiltrators to conservative sites to deliver backhanded compliments about Sarah, while at the same time bemoaning her "electability".

Anyone doubting Sarah's electability either isn't paying attention or they are being dishonest. Her Facebook following is the fastest growing of any politician, and second only to Obama's among politicians, and her numbers should surpass his sometime in November. Palin's current supporters number 904,591, up from about 200k in early July. Obamas' page numbers 1,063,187 members, has been going for more than two years, and is hardly accumulating any new members. All the RINO contenders' sites combined do not make up half of Sarah's numbers.

Just for comparison, while Sarah's page gets about 900,000 unique visitors per day, Free Republic gets about 100,000. As a conservative website, FR gets a fair cross-section of conservative Republicans and independents. Sarah gets almost all of those, plus the moderate independents and Democrats, the unaffiliated, the disenfranchised ... just about everyone except the hardcore communist leftists in the Democrat party and the globalist communist RINO wing of the Republican party.

While it is true that not everybody uses Facebook, it does represent a fair cross-section of the population as a whole.

I suspect Gov. Palin will be doing some kind of tour to promote her book, and to support candidates for 2010. We will soon know more about where the larger population stands, whether with her or with the communists.

She will make a lot of money, Im sure. But it puts her in a less than favorable position for a 12’ run”

Nonsense!
How the heck does Sarah making money to in part pay off her legal bills brought n by the same 0bamabot zombies who launched bogus, fraudulent “ethics” complaints against her, put her in a less favorable position?
She and her frailly should starve instead huh?
Where do you people come up with this utter garbage anyways?

Im just assuming you are a guy April, but the “hotter than heck” comment makes me wonder. Anyway, homosexualism does not have a place in our party.

Even if April was a woman, it is perfectly viable for a heterosexual female to acknowledge that Palin is drop-dead gorgeous. I am a man-loving woman, and maybe because I'm a man-loving woman I'm able to especially appreciate how Palin's "hotness" is a significant factor.

A person who thinks that when a woman acknowledges Palin's exceptional gorgeousness that it's a sign of lesbianism is either pretty twisted or pretty limited.

Like it or not, if she enters the fray again politically she has high negatives, even among independents”

She has high “negatives” huh?
Have you seen 0bozo’s “strongly disapprove” from Rasmussen lately? His strong negatives have been going through the roof. So why don't you tell him not to run in 2012?

I fear it will galvanize them even more, as they will attack her and the message relentlessly”

Ummm..they already attacked her more than any politician in modern history..all it did was give her close to 1 million Facebook supporters in just 4 months, virtually neck and neck with 0bozo, who's Facebook page has been up for over a year longer. That “galvanization” you are talking about, is galvanization” of ordinary Americans FOR Palin, rather than against her. The more they attack her, the stronger she is going to get. She is going to feed off their attacks kinda like how Glenn eck is doing right now. He keeps getting stronger too, the more the leftist zombies attack him.

Even my family and friends who really were inspired by her when she ran with McCain, are embarrassed about her. “

You friends and family need a new brain don't they? They should be embarrassed for themselves, not Sarah Plain.

I have a co-worker who is 2nd amendment solid, can’t stand Obama and sees the garbage he is bringing, and HE even thinks she is unelectable.”

Ha ha! Sorry, I had to laugh at that one. Biggest joke I ever heard today.

Sorry newbie troll, your drive-by hit doesn't wash. Sarah was very clear why she left 18 months early.

Yup.
An obvious DU plant and laughable troll.
All he's done is keep posting already disproved loony left talking points and propaganda.

I personally like her and her message is about as conservative as they come, but the left has unfortunately defined her already.

So what? The left isn't going to vote for our candidate anyhow, so why not put up a candidate that best represents our values? I do not understand why so many fret and wring their hands over whether or not a conservative candidate is going to be "liked" by the other side. Whenever we put up a candidate that is like-able by the left (McCain, Dole), we get trampled at election time.

Hey, you and your family can vote against Sarah then, but why don’t you leave the people that support her alone.

Great, alienate all the Tammy Bruce supporters, who also support Palin. There needs to be a site: Lesbians for Palin.

Exactly. A Palin/Obama race would actually give the people of this country a CHOICE. By the way...would we all agree that Palin's book tour is going to kick *ss?

Gosh, I have no idea, but if you plug in Palin’s name in a facebook search, you can find several facebook accounts started by Leftists with Palin in the name, with variations of “Palin sucks”, and they had drawn some pretty big numbers of moonbats last time I looked, so we are battling that.

Obviously, we need to keep Sarah’s facebook numbers way ahead of that crapola.
