It does seem as if Washington attracts and still further ruins big-government Republicans. It may be that it takes a Carter/Obama to stir what is a bottom-up revolution every time the party lurches back to sanity. I do sense anyway that we are in the midst of one of those lurchings. But much damage is done before the American people are spurred to action.
As a certified nattering nabob of GOP negativism, I hope you are correct. We need a bottom to top purge and a reaffirmation to conservative principles that America, the majority, can support. We can own this government in 2010-2012 if we get our act together...
