Within 24 hours of the leak of the Afghanistan assessment to The Washington Post, General Stanley McChrystal's team fired its second shot across the bow of the Obama administration. According to McClatchy, military officers close to General McChrystal said he is prepared to resign if he isn't given sufficient resources (read troops) to implement a change in direction in Afghanistan:
Adding to the frustration, according to officials in Kabul and Washington, are White House and Pentagon directives made over the last six weeks that Army Gen. Stanley McChrystal, the top U.S. military commander in Afghanistan, not submit his request for as many as 45,000 additional troops because the administration isn't ready for it.
In the last two weeks, top administration leaders have suggested that more American troops will be sent to Afghanistan, and then called that suggestion "premature." Earlier this month, Adm. Michael Mullen, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, said that "time is not on our side"; on Thursday, Secretary of Defense Robert Gates urged the public "to take a deep breath."

Get out while you can...and take your troops with you!!
Obama is wanting to make his own army...he said so...better than your military and better funded....your on your own buddy....get the h out of there and take the good boys with you please!!!!
No one tells Barry what to do. No one disagrees with Barry. No one embarrasses Barry by illustrating his ineptitude.
The General was brought on board because they thought they could walk all over him.
I am thankful that he is an honorable man.
Sure he does... He’ll either go on a foreign trip or demand face time on TV to explain his clue to us dummies.
Obama doesn’t want to fight. He doesn’t want to leave. He’s LBJ all over again.
Expect the long knives to come out for McChrystal. He’ll be treated with less regard than Poland.
“According to McClatchy, military officers close to General McChrystal said he is prepared to resign if he isn’t given sufficient resources (read troops) to implement a change in direction in Afghanistan:”
How about directing us HOME. There is absolutely no net gain from this “overseas action” and this Mutt in the White House has neither brains or balls for this kind of fighting...he doesn’t know shite from shine-ola.
Where’s the Plan? Where’s the EXIT STRATEGY? GET OUT NOW!
It must be tough to do the right thing. Our President seems to have a tough time being a leader. I hope the General resigns since our leader refuses to lead.
Ping.
Commander-in-Chief, MY ASS!!!!
0bama has checkmated himself because he’s used McChrystal as his own General Petreaus.
He drops McChrystal’s name constantly and keeps insisting that he’s waiting for the General’s assesment. He stated this several times over the weekend, even. Now we come to find out that 0bama has had McChrystal’s assesment, and it calls for a massive troop build up.
So lets see now how 0bama conducts HIS war, the one he said we need to fight and win. The one he said was the RIHT war.
He's trying to vote "Present" but circumstances won't permit it.

I think politicians expect everyone to bend under pressure. That’s a foolish thing to expect of people who face bullets and bombs for a living.
And so shines a good man in a weary world.
That would be called an Ass Captain
Unless replacing top brass is his objective. I think hussein would like nothing better than a chance to replace a large part of the officer corps.
I disagree. It's clear zero is willing to sacrifice American military lives in Afghanistan to further his agenda on health care socialization at home. He would enrage the left were he to deploy 45,000 more troops. He needs leftist harmony to push his socialist agenda.
Is Wolfowitz available to tell him he doesn't need troops and it will be a cakewalk?
