Barack Obama ready to slash US nuclear arsenal(Pentagon told to map out radical cuts)

Barack Obama has demanded the Pentagon conduct a radical review of US nuclear weapons doctrine to prepare the way for deep cuts in the country's arsenal, the Guardian can reveal.

Obama has rejected the Pentagon's first draft of the "nuclear posture review" as being too timid, and has called for a range of more far-reaching options consistent with his goal of eventually abolishing nuclear weapons altogether, according to European officials.

Nuclear weapons are the worst thing in the world except for the alternative which is defeat.

The numbers we have should be tied to an analysis of what it would take to take on two major conventional forces simultaneously.

We face insurgencies and proxy wars because we are presently unbeatable on the conventional battlefield. The moment we give up our conventional war advantage, in that very moment conventional war is what we will face. And we will no longer be unbeatable. We lost 400,000 military dead in about 40 months time in the second world war because we didn’t go in with a decisive advantage, we had to build that advantage on the fly. Next time it will be worse. Next time American cities will burn.

One other thing; negotiating away our nukes doesn’t protect us from nuclear attack anyway. If a nuke hits us it won’t be delivered by an ICBM from China or Russia, it will be delivered in a seatrain shipping container with lots of contradictory arabic chatter in the days leading up to it so in the aftermath we lash out against the sock puppet instead of the hand.

I don't follow "that orly nut woman". I'm too busy trying to find a job in this wonderful Obamaconomy.

All I know is that

1. The U.S. Constitution makes some explicit requirements regarding eligibility for the office of the President,
2. Federal law on the books has explicit laws as to what constitutes a "Natural Born Citizen", and
3. Obama's spending millions to keep ANYTHING from getting out.

As Americans, we HAVE TO be vigilant on this! And it's apparent that the State-Run Media - and many FReepers - don't want to look into the issue. That's distressing.
