Here is a poll question as to whom Freepers prefer to be the POTUS. The list is fairly extensive, but even at that there will be those who's choice is not listed. It does however have the usual suspects and category for other.

Interesting thing about this poll is John McCain is not on the list. Doe anyone really think he will even attempt top run?

Gary Johnson, former New Mexico Governor

The perfect man to lead conservatives (true ones, not authoritarian neo-cons) in the 21st century

It’ll trend strongly toward Palin.

Although you could make a good case for her being the savior of mankind, reading some of the posts lately.

If she runs, great. I’ll vote for her absent someone better.

But I’ll be damned if I’ll grovel and worship her.

She would tear her garments if you DID “bow down and worship her.”

She is going to get shredded in the debates because of that.

They will attempt to shred her no matter what! But who would take credence in what 'they' say. If someone is that easily swayed by the lamestream media and libs, they aren't grounded in truth. That's what happened in '08.

Too many Freepers view Sarah as THEIR Obamassiah.

Palin in a cakewalk.

And, rightly so.

I guess we are just too damn stupid to relize that Sarah Palin is not “ready”. and does not have enough “experience” for the national stage.

Also conspicuously missing:
Dick Cheney, Mike Pence.
And yet Charlie Crist and George Allen are represented? Lame.

So I'm lame, put other. Besides Dick Cheney is not going to run.

The list I chose was predicated upon what I have been hearing about whom would consider running. I heard Cheney himself say he would not run, and as for Pence. Well, I was bound to piss someone off by leaving their choice out. If you are unhappy with the choices I offered, then do your own poll.

Any idea who will be left to run after New Hampshire and Iowa voters ruin it for the really good candidates? We need a new batting order for the primaries and caucuses!

Whom do Freepers Prefer For 2012 president?

Wilson/Issa: The Wilson/Obama debates would be the most-watched in campaign history. Issa has a well-documented conservative record.....would be the 2020 president.

Well so far, I found Duncan Hunter opposes civil UNIONs, but favors a North American UNION, and that he is often quoted in the UNION-Tribune. What’s his nexus with labor UNIONs?

Duncan Hunter will never win the GOP nomination. I love Duncan Hunter. He is immentley qualified to be POTUS. He would probably do the best job of any of the contenders mentioned here. BUT - Duncan Hunter is a terrible campaigner. Not only will Hunter never be POTUS. He will also never be the Senator from or Governor of California. Most Freepers never had a chance to see any DH campaign commercials or materials because he was gone by the time their state voted. I had the opportunity to visit NV when DH was still campaigning there and heard his Radio Ads and TV spots. - TERRIBLE. I know a lot of Freepers get mad when people talk about electability but we have to face the fact that the President of the US is not chosen by A) The Free Republic B) CPAC or C)Talk Radio. We have to put forward a candidate that can inspire, persuade, and seal the deal. Although Duncan Hunter’s character, values, and political ideolgy are golden, he doesn’t even have the campaign skills of John McCain or Bob Dole. The best analogy for Duncan Hunter is that he is the sweet, smart, homely girl that no one ones to date but makes the best wife. POTUS is a race for the pretty girls (and I don’t just mean Mitt & Sarah.) Duncan Hunter, like that homely girl who someday makes the best wife will someday be a great Secretary of Defense or Secretary of State but he is never getting elected President.

I voted for Palin, but I also like DeMint. Unfortunately, he wasn’t listed.

Whoever it is, he or she better be conservative, able to communicate with America, and ready to build their campaign machine now. Hunter was my first and best choice of the last election, but his complete lack of a campaign machine and planning doomed him to failure before he started.

I think McCain has every intention of inflicting us with his candidacy. The state, NeoCom media will pump him up again.
