Former US President Jimmy Carter says much of the vitriol against President Barack Obama's health reforms and spending plans is "based on racism".
Mr Carter told a public meeting there was "an inherent feeling among many in this country that an African-American should not be president".
Republican lawmaker Joe Wilson was rebuked on Tuesday in a House vote.
He shouted "You lie!" while Mr Obama was delivering an address on healthcare to Congress last Wednesday.
The House resolution of disapproval described it as "a breach of decorum".

Nationally Unwanted Traitor
This coming from the renowned Jew Hater
STFU carter and sit down ...
The batting order may change if the Prez Zero gets any more legislation forced down our throats.
Do people actually still listen to this old fool?

Anything to change the subject.
Will ANYTHING make this ignorant peanut farmer shut up? A failed president, a failed man, and a racist himself- and NOW we must be, endlessly, treated to his brain farts?
Give me a break...
Who listens to Carter, besides apparently British news outlets?
Obama has surrgates tossing the race card for him,
Carter, Dowd....
Another “Racer” that admits that he can’t provide a defense to criticism of leftist policies.
“surrogates”
I’d like him to take a nice tour of the Panama Canal he gave away. That way, he can pay China money out of his pocket, so he can use the Canal built, financed and protected by the US taxpayer at a cost of hundreds of millions of dollars and hundreds of lives.
I doubt he has any idea of the magnitude of his sins against the American citizen.

Michael Moore (quote), from his website, April 14, 2004...

"The Iraqis who have risen up against the occupation are not 'insurgents' or 'terrorists' or 'The Enemy.' They are the REVOLUTION, the Minutemen, and their numbers will grow -- and they will win. Get it, Mr. Bush?"

The Communist Party USA (CPUSA):
"We are a party of unity in action. We are an integral part of every struggle and movement for change to eliminate poverty and joblessness, against racism and for full equality. We are participants, initiators and leaders of every movement to make life better now and much better in a socialist future." Yeah, so they supported an oppressive dictator, like the Repubs and Democrats haven't? The CP is still around, has apologized for that whole Stalin thing, and has a quickly growing youth section.

Barack Obama - 2004 Democratic National Convention Keynote Address
Delivered July 27, 2004, Fleet Center, Boston

This statement is indeed meant to end the debate, not further it. But you can only cry wolf so many times before it loses it’s impact. Perhaps they should save it for when they really need it.
Do people actually still listen to this old fool?
Did people EVER actually still listen to this old fool?
The nation is indeed being subjected to a “racist” onslaught from Carter and the democrats.
Republican leadersgip needs to wake up and demand this be stopped. We’re talking about completely non racial issues like health care that affect all Americans. tehy are using racism in an attempt to pass a horrible plan.
They are the racists and they need to be called out on it. Stop letting teh democrats use thug tactics.
I don’t question President Obama because he’s a ‘half-breed’.
I question him because his ideas are ‘half-baked’.
Oh yes - he's such a good Christian man, you know. I'm amazed at how once he HAD that reputation, none of the evil that he's done has destroyed it.
