BULLETIN -- NEW YORK POLICE AND FBI RAID HOMES IN QUEENS IN TERRORISM INVESTIGATION.6 minutes ago from BNO Headquarters
So he only had ~ three days to douche the joint?
The oppression of Muslims continues! And on Ramadan yet!
Does someone have the phone number of the Muslim-in-Chief, Homeland Security, Holder, or Mueller? This gross civil rights violation needs investigating NOW (after prosecuting the CIA of course!)
Oh, wait, never mind, they're already recording everything:
http://atlasshrugs2000.typepad.com/atlas_shrugs/2009/09/obama-white-house-collects-users-data-without-notice.html
Is there a single soul out there, anyone, who is surprised eight years later muslims still have us by the balls?
If you're truly surprised please respond here. I would love to see the reasoning.
Nice chatting with you Ike; my work at FR is done...Time to focus on the time of year.
Short term, stay away from mid and big city mass transit, Muslims wearing backpacks and never, ever, believe anything the government or “experts” say.
:-)
Thank you Cindy.
You’re welcome Katarina.

“FBI raids Denver home in suspect Al-Qaeda plot: ABC”
(AFP) 1 hour ago
WASHINGTON
SNIPPET: “About a dozen agents arrived at the home of Najibullah Zazi, 24, and one confirmed to ABC a search warrant was being executed.
“Zazi’s travels to New York last weekend triggered a round of highly publicized raids in the New York area,” the ABC report said adding that “authorities told members of Congress the raids had helped to disrupt a plot to carry out a major attack on New York.”
Authorities said they found 14 new black backpacks in the New York raids, fueling concerns the men may have been planning to use the backpacks to carry suicide bombs.”
"The ABC report cited unnamed authorities as saying "Zazi brought with him instructions on how to build a bomb using household chemicals.""

OK, time for a review...
If you see an odd package (ie suitcase, box, backpack, plastic container — like a tupperware bowl with lid, for example) sitting by itself DO NOT TOUCH IT. Contact the authorities. Do not feel foolish. Let the authorities open it, pick it up, examine it, whatever. DO NOT TOUCH IT.
Another earlier article said 9 backpacks and cell phones, whatever...you now have an idea what’s going on here.

Alright, we’re still reviewing...

“FBI Expands Search In Queens Terror Probe”
By: NY1 News
SNIPPET: “The FBI conducted a search Wednesday inside the Colorado home of a man reported to be under surveillance for possible links to al-Qaida.
Federal officials say they executed a search warrant on Najibullah Zazi’s suburban Denver home. Several boxes of evidence were recovered and agents escorted a man and three women from the apartment.
This latest raid comes days after authorities searched at least three homes in Queens that they say Zazi, seen right, had recently visited.
Officials say documents were removed, but no arrests were made.”
SNIPPET: “However, local authorities have been urged to keep an eye out for materials that could be used to make homemade explosives, as well as people with burn marks on their hands, face or arms.
A relative of Zazi tells the Associated Press he moved to the U.S. at an early age, but was born in Pakistan and visited there recently.”

SNIPPET: “Najibullah Zazi, 24, left the Byron G. Rogers Federal Building after 10:30 p.m. but is scheduled to return this afternoon for another round of questioning, according to his attorney, Art Folsom.”
SNIPPET: “Najibullah Zazi’s uncle, Naquib Jaji, whose house agents also searched Wednesday, said he believes his nephew is innocent. But he has become frustrated in pressing for answers to his questions: “ ‘Why would you rent a car on 9/11? And drive to New York?’ He said he wanted to see the countryside. I said, ‘What the hell is wrong with you? . . . What are you doing renting a car to go to New York on 9/11?’”

“Friends: Zazi “never said a bad word about the U.S.””
By Kirk Mitchell
The Denver Post

UPDATED: 09/16/2009 01:36:51 AM MDT
SNIPPET: “Zazi fasts, prays, adheres to the five pillars of Islam and worships at an Aurora mosque every Friday. There is no hint of anti-American zealotry, according to Jaji.
“He never said a bad word about the U.S.,” Jaji said. “He always talked business, how many customers he had a day.””
SNIPPET: “Jaji and his wife, Rabia Zazi, said Zazi loves to play and watch soccer when he finds time, but he usually doesn’t.
“He’s always working,” Rabia Zazi said.”
SNIPPET: “Jaji has five kids and his own shuttle-driving job makes it tough to pay his bills, but when he asked Zazi to chip in, his nephew refused. He didn’t know whether Zazi was sending money to his wife in Pakistan.
Zazi was rarely home. He got up and returned home in darkness. He didn’t get much sleep.”
Hello FBI/JTTF. This is an interesting detail.

1 problem We do not have subways in Denver. Either it was some other mass transit plot, or he was headed somewhere else for the deed.
” Either it was some other mass transit plot, or he was headed somewhere else for the deed. “
Mass transit isn’t the only soft target available (or even the softest...)
The last time I was in Denver I saw malls and sports venues...
Expanding our horizons even further (okay - stretching them almost to the ‘tinfoil’ realm), virtually every town in America has at least one High School football game every week....
true. I was just responding to the story that they were planning mass transit/subway bombings. There are many soft targets is all cities, many far worse than sports venues (think Beslan)

Police Search House of Colorado Man Suspected of Links to Terror Plot After New York Trip
Fox News ^ | Sept. 16, 2009 | Fox News
Posted on Thursday, September 17, 2009 10:22:53 AM by AuntB
AURORA, Colo. Federal agents on Wednesday searched the home of a suburban Denver man identified by law enforcement as having a possible link to al-Qaida, carting away several boxes of evidence.
FBI special agent Kathleen Wright confirmed that agents had a search warrant for the home of Najibullah Zazi. Residents of neighboring apartments were evacuated as a precaution, Wright said.
Zazi denies that he’s a central figure in a terrorism investigation that fed fears of a possible bomb plot and led to several police raids in New York City on Monday.
Agents left Zazi’s apartment with at least six boxes. One was labeled “swabs,” and others were marked “fragile” and “glass.”
Agents also escorted three women and a man from the apartment. The man appeared to be in his early 20s and had a beard, but an AP reporter confirmed it was not Najibullah Zazi. Two of the women covered their faces with headscarves, and the third used a canvas chair to shield her face. All were driven away in an SUV.
The task force also feared Zazi may be involved in a potential plot involving homemade hydrogen peroxide-based explosives like those cited in an intelligence warning issued Monday, said the officials, who spoke on anonymity because they were not authorized to speak about the investigation.

Mike Cutler sent a note along with this article:
The article notes that Zazi had a “Green Card,” that is to say that he is a lawful immigrant. I have no information as to how he obtained his lawful immigrant status because the fraud rate in the process by which aliens are granted lawful immigrant status is fraught with fraud. USCIS (United States Citizenship and Immigration Services) is the division of DHS that is charged with adjudicating applications for all of the various immigration benefits including conferring resident alien status and United States citizenship upon aliens and although they process more than 6 million such applications each and every year, they only have about 600 investigators to conduct field investigations to determine the bona fides of the application and the material facts concerning those applications.
Of course, in this case, I have no information as to how Mr. Zazi obtained his purported resident alien status, although the article makes it sound as though he has been living in the United States for many years, but certainly I hope that those who are investigating him are delving into this issue.
As for the statement that a “background check” was conducted by the authorities of Colorado, I have often noted that a background check is not comparable to a background investigation. A background check generally just involves running an applicants fingerprints and stated name on an application through a computer database to check for known individuals. If the person in question uses a fictitious name, the value of running the name is worthless. Most terrorists know that it is essential to keep a “low profile” as an embedding tactic. They know that to “hide in plain sight” they must not get arrested or have contact with law enforcement so that if they then apply for a license their fingerprints will come up “clean.”
