These people are really starting to scare me.

It is pretty freakin' unbelievable that zero doing a mulligan for his wednesday night speech gets more media attention than half a million taxpayers vociferously protesting out of control spending. I'd like to know who is making these decisions, editors, producers, or whoever signs their paychecks. It's a sad state of affairs when our best political reporting comes to us from a Canadian newspaper. There used to be, and probably still are, some pretty good minds in the forth estate, and I wonder where their curiosity got off to. I know that most newspeople are lazy, spoiled, overindulged, opinionated teenagers mascarading as adults, but if they don't watch out they're going to get fired. And I don't mean pink slip, downsized fired, I mean, lower the boom, pushed off a cliff fired to where your name is reviled and no one will ever listen to you again. OHHHH... RIGHT...IT'S HAPPENING RIGHT NOW. GOOD!

Chick-news. They report on what they love.

This has been going on for almost 20 years now. It is a major reason why we have such bad politicians/rulers!

It's a sad state of affairs when our best political reporting comes to us from a Canadian newspaper.

And our best TV news reporting comes from an Aussie owner.

Who’s going to fire them? There have been downsizing but the sheeple will continue to watch and read them. Fox & Friends showed the DC party and commented they were about the only source showing it.

If Fox News was serious, they would leave their desks, investigate, and report an accurate crowd size.

Good rant. A little short though. I would expand on it a little. REALLY get on a roll and let it all out. Rants are popular right now.

I agree with you. Regardless of what others say here, I do not feel what is going on is standard issue—ala “been happening for 20 years”.

The point is there ws an UNPRECEDENTED citizen protest in DC yesterday an it has been muted by the media machine.

IT WAS UNPRECEDENTED. This was NEWS. What used to be considered ‘news’ I should say.

I feel we are up against a tenacious and uncivil foe in the established media empire that is blood-determined NOT to allow the first black president fail regardless of the damage he wreaks on this country.

I heard a couple of people mention that CNN and MSNBC also covered it, though I dunno if the coverage was as thorough as Fox's. In fact, I got online to go to YouTube and see if there are any segments of Glenn Beck hosting the TEA party coverage posted. Better go there now.

"Hey everyone, a late comer who finally got knocked over with a brick and can now see!"

Ah well, at least it was just one brick; with some people it takes a whole house.

A vanity? In breaking news? Should be in chat and labeled vanity. However here is a story I ran across from AP: http://apnews.myway.com/article/20090913/D9AMHEH00.html

they are more worried than you.

It is a good rant. And to be a great rant - you added some good suggestions.

But in addition... USE MORE CAPS.

CAPITAL LETTERS ARE GOOD!!!

Post it to breaking news also. Why shouldn’t your vanity be the center of attention of all FReeperville?

Also... Tin foil. Conspiracy rants are way cool too.

Then there’s the ever popular vanity OPUS. That always brings in at least 100-200 replies.

The press and US Government have been lying to you for DECADES. You know Obama is lying and you suspect other lies. Here’s proof on the biggest mystery in history, with this lie they found how easy it is to fool everybody.

I have to say that CNN did an unbelievable job in coverage. I’m not sure how they did on the T.V. since I refused to change my channel away from Fox, but I was streaming CNN on the internet.

It was far better than the coverage on FOX. I was truly flabbergasted. But, I will give CNN credit for an outstanding stream.

"We have no government armed with power capable of contending with human passions unbridled by morality and religion. Avarice, ambition, revenge or gallantry would break the strongest cords of our Constitution as a whale goes through a net. Our Constitution is designed only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate for any other." ---- John Adams

Hence the liberals massive push to force God and morality from the public square.

Before "journalism" became the favored way of "doing good" there were real journalists -- with an very high opinion of their profession. These warders (gatekeepers) filtered and spiked news. Interpretation of events was predictable, repetitive, and boring. Still is.

It's warder boring. There ought to be an investigation of that!

I wrote letters to the networks in the '60s -- to which they replied "we're professionals and you're not."
