Oh the irony. Someone won't get Obama healthcare unless they prove CITIZENSHIP. Oh the irony. The question, as we all know, arises from the Wilson "You lie" outburst, and the core claim that notwithstanding specific bill language barring illegal immigrants from participating in the "exchange," as a practical matter, there is no way of verifying the citizenship of applicants -- which is the current state of play.

- Nothing changes. Illegals have always used this method (ER visits) to get medical treatment and they always will. They aren't going to buy anything and we all know it. Give me an option to buy a car at half-price if I give up my free company car? Yea, I'll get right on that.
- illegals account for around 10 million of the huge "uninsured" number liberals keep spouting off about. some will tell you the number is larger. Liberals tend to tell you it's only a couple million people. We all know that is a lie. Heck, there are THAT many in my city alone. Liberals are effectively trying to takeover the healthcare system in the name of helping a scant few million people. There are many other ways to cover this problem without forcing the other 98% of the population to suffer for it.
- this isn't about being fair and humane. We all want that. We do however, have a problem with our government forcefully pulling money from our pockets for any reason THEY determine is important enough. The American taxpayer owns you. - any program costing 900 billion dollars cannot possibly ever "pay for itself" or be "budget neutral". only a fool believes that. Remember ... "the government" has no money. ALL wealth in our country originates from the consumer. Tax the rich and guess what, the CONSUMER (that's you Mr liberal) are the end game financer of ALL government spending. You don't have to like it, that's just the way it works.
- If obama and his democrats are opposed to providing healthcare for illegals, why did the democrats vote down (multiple times) an amendment to the bill to require verification of citizenship? You don't hear that being reported, do you? Its true. So they publicly state they oppose giving it to them (illegals), but refuse to prevent them from taking it without consequence. Start asking the question differently and you will see the lie exposed for what it really is. Ask "how are you going to stop them (illegals) from abusing the system". Expect a long pause before you get a twisted waffle instead of an answer. Turns out, "You LIE !" was an accurate statement.
- obama claims there will be no change in the rest of our programs if we choose to keep it. then he states the market will "gradually shrink". So he lied again. He knows full well private carriers cannot compete with a publicly funded program and will eventually fold, leaving us all with.. guess what? only one option... with rules being mandated by government controlled panels (yea, that evil word). You won't have a say in anything.
- Everyone wants to make healthcare an argument of humane and fair treatment regarding health. This is a great idea and it surely does touch us all when someone is suffering an illness and needs help. However, assuming the American taxpayer can be used as a pool of charity money to be taken by force is unacceptable. The planet is consumed with poor and starting people. What boundary would you draw ? I can make the same argument that we should be providing healthcare for the entire world. What would you think of that idea?
- Go ahead and implement public healthcare. We don't give a hoot. Just make sure there are no taxes increased ANYWHERE to pay for it and use voluntary donations and fees collected from it's supporters to fund it. Let's see how popular that movement is. We will all opt out, thank you.
- We are in deep trouble friends. Has anyone been watching the dollar collapse ? It's finally starting to happen at an accelerated pace. Your fine "progressive" administration has been printing American dollars at an alarming rate to feed it's hunger for money to support it's insane giveaway programs. Have you thought about this for a minute? Every dollar they print dilutes the value of the one in your pocket, the one you worked hard to earn. They are shifting the value away from you and into their own pools without even asking. They are ROBBING you and you don't even see it happening. Nobody voted on this. It wasn't open for public scrutiny and nobody is being held accountable. Can you all see ANY pattern here? How can anyone in their right mind support these policies and actions?

I don't know how many reading this aren't "birthers" yet, but you'll have to admit there's some real nerve getting hit whenever anyone asks anything about verification of citizenship. I can see BO wincing every time it's brought up. Doesn't matter if the argument isn't directed at him in this particular case, but his guilty conscience somehow accuses him. As it turns out, he's really the illegal who is abusing the system. It really is all about him after all.
