Please post your updates from D.C. and from news reports here as well as your photos of the day.
Our Walter Reed salute to the troops last night was very well attended. Upwards of 800 people were there over the three-plus hours of the demonstration.
Photos and video taken by This Ain'tHell taken in daylight before the bulk of the crowd showed can be viewed here.

You might want to lay off the caffeine.
I'm sure glad I laid off the caffeine this morning. When I arrived and walked by those johns at about 11:30, there had to be a least fifty people in line in front of each of those. I thanked God I skipped my morning cup-o'-joe!
I also appreciate the guy who shouted, "This is a preview of health care under Obama!"
LOL!
Great post, sounds like a wonderful time with great people many of us where there in spirit.

I’ve read that about 40% of Americans considers themselves to be conservative.
Well, if there are 300,000,000 people in the US, then 40% of that number is 120,000,000 people.
2,000,000 of that number showed up in DC today to protest the encroaching tyranny from Washington, which works out to 1.6% of the estimated number of conservatives in the country.
That means that for every patriot protesting in DC today, there were nearly 99 more at home watching it unfold, and cheering the beginning of the rebirth of our nation.
As incredible as this turnout was today, can you imagine the effect that even just 5% of us could create? It truly boggles the mind.
I am surprised most people dont know this.
But..but...I posted it way before the rally. :[
There was a group of about 10 people on one of the buildings along the march that was getting the crowd fired up. I wonder if that was her?
POTUS must have been afraid of these “domestic terrorists”. He skipped town.
I kept thinking about that old phone company commercial that asked the question, “CAN YOU HEAR ME NOW?”
I don’t know if POTUS and the “leaders” on Capitol Hill are listening, but the message was certainly loud and clear!
There is a day of reckoning coming for them - - - election day.
I’m in!
How can we let them know what we think of them? There is no "Contact" tab anywhere?
I'm in!
Your pictures show the 9-12 rally as exceeding the inauguration and similar to the 1997 "Stand in the Gap" rally by Promise Keepers, which hit about a million.
The count doesn't matter; the fact is, America showed up in Washington D.C., that we're aware, we care, and we're watching our representatives. They'd better not harm us any more than they have already--the next march might have more, and be more hostile.
Practically, if every attendee got 50 people to vote out "bad" incumbents (those who supported Obamacare, for example), then we'd clean House, and maybe a 1/3 of the Senate in 2010.
We would have been there if it were at all possible. Does anyone know what the crowd size was compared to o’s immaculation? Thanks!
thanks...enjoyed it- especially when you obviously were flattened by the size of the crowd!!!
I’m a veteran of these sort of events, except we are usually out numbered...I was with three dozen Freepers on 2/15/2003 who counter-protested 100,000 American haters disguised as “peace protestors” that marched on the UN....I was also with Protest Warrior at the GOP Convention in NYC during August of 2004- there was 200 of us and 250K of those smelly leftists....our Tea Party on 4/15 had a couple hundred....could not be there today due to work commitments...
when I saw the crowd today, on TV of course, my sentiments were like yours- I was somewhere between elation and tears...
Yeah!
Would anyone know if it would be better to post them in the March on Washington picture thread, or on this thread where there is much more activity?
Would anyone know if it’d be better to post up some pictures in the picture thread, or this one since it’s so much more active?
BTW, your image is actually from the ‘Stand in the Gap’ gathering.
Excellent observation. There were also supporting tea rallies all over the country today. Fort Worth Texas had a huge one and even in leftist Vermont...patriots are starting to stand up for FREEDOM!!
It is only going to grow! The libs are freaking out..you can tell by the ‘talkers’ they sent out tonight. The meme is to lie, call us racist, call us a small minority, call us fringe. They are depending, as always, on the media to carry their lies for them. IT SMELLS LIKE DESPERATION!
The American people are on to them and we will not be ignored! WE WILL NOT BE LIED TO OR ABOUT ANY LONGER!
