Howdy, fellow freepers!
I've looked at the HTML code at that horrible "smear Glenn Beck" web site and found something interesting.
It appears that this is not a bunch of jovial Internet pranksters suddenly becoming socialists and deciding to do a character assassination of Glenn Beck.
This is what got my attention:
From the "Glenn Beck slander web site"
<!--meta name="keywords" content="social justice organization,low income family,anti-war,paid sick days, predatory lending,katrina relief,osi-new york,minimum wage,afl-cio,living wage,new orleans, urban education,urban schools, heath care,political,civic engagement,hurricane katrina, political prisoners, gulf coast,rebuilding,rebuild america" /-->
Now compare this with acorn.org's meta-tags:
<meta name="keywords" content="acorn,social justice organization,acrn,acorns,acron,low income family,moderate income family,paid sick days,predatory lending,katrina relief,acorn voter registration,maude hurd,minimum wage,living wage,new orleans,urban education,urban schools,wade rathe,heath care,foreclosure,affordable housing,voter registration,registering voters,voter fraud,voter suppression,political,civic engagement,voter engagement,hurricane katrina,gulf coast,rebuilding,rebuild new orleans,rebuild america" />
In both of them health care is misspelled as "heath care" and a lot of the tags are similar...
Hmmm...
From the donkey excrements a mighty ACORN slander campaign grows!
You can get the site at http://gb1990.com/
(well, kind of; the list that corresponds is actually commented out)
yep...but, like I said earlier...it still doesn’t mean anything eitherb way...
Heh, you’re proud to follow in the footsteps of one of the biggest biatches on the Internet?
I just think it’s weird that someone would spend so much money and time on a site that’s probably getting a lot of hits unless there’s a financial incentive.
And there are no ads, no pleading for donations, no T-shirts and bumper stickers for sale, nothing.
And then the same meta-tags as acorn?
It would make sense, since Glenn Beck has been the most vocal about acorn’s corruption and voter fraud, that they would target him.
Dan Rather got fired because he didn’t check the document fonts and the truth is often in the details.
...it still doesnt mean anything eitherb way[blink] [blink]
“Dan Rather got fired because he didnt check the document fonts and the truth is often in the details.”
Dry hole...I promise.
She was the absolute crotchettiest beeyotch I ever ran across! I miss her every day.
And then the same meta-tags as acorn?Chalk it up as a drill; one can never get too much practice sleuthing. It would make sense, since Glenn Beck has been the most vocal about acorns corruption and voter fraud, that they would target him.
Dan Rather got fired because he didnt check the document fonts and the truth is often in the details.
Notice: This site is parody/satire. We assume Glenn Beck did not rape and murder a young girl in 1990, although we haven't yet seen proof that he didn't. But we think Glenn Beck definitely uses tactics like this to spread lies and misinformation.
Read the last sentence again. That's the point. Read it a third time and ignore the name of the site itself, because anyone who believes that we're trying to actually get people to believe Glenn Beck raped and/or murdered is *whoosh* missing the entire point. So don't be dumb like a lot of people are. I greatly expanded this text because so many people *read* it, and *still* didn't understand.
...it still doesnt mean anything eitherb way

hahahha...it’s late...there’s another post back there somewhere that explains it...
the “personality” of the code writing is different from one site to the other. its kinda odd that that the same key words are there in odd places.
Depends on your sense of humor. That sucker is some kind of twisted. I can appreciate the genius that would be necessary to perpetrate the hoax. Just watching this thread would be reward enough.
Either way, you’re smart. Just what made you look in that spot on both sites?
True, it could be a coincidence and I’m seeing patterns that aren’t there.
On the other hand, there’s no harm in bringing this to light either.
Remember, cockroaches run from the light!
“cut and paste”
Im a software developer, so I know that copying and pasting code from previous projects is very common.
And who would have the incentive to smear Glenn Beck?
The ACORN cockroaches he’s been exposing was my first choice.
They’re well-financed, amoral, vicious, but not very detail-oriented.
I’m not accusing anyone of anything, but I have a feeling this could very well be the website author playing with us.
yep
Great catch! Breitbart, for sure. He’s on a roll.
