(CNSNews.com) House Republicans on Thursday issued ten common-sense questions arising from President Barack Obamas Wednesday-night speech plugging health care reform.
The questions and the words that prompted them appear here verbatim:
President Barack Obama: Our collective failure to meet this challenge year after year, decade after decade has led us to the breaking point. Common Sense Question: If we are at the breaking point, then why doesnt your government-run insurance plan start until 2013?
President Barack Obama: There are now 30 million American citizens who cannot get coverage. Common Sense Question: On August 20, you said 46 million Americans were uninsured. What happened to 16 million Americans?
President Barack Obama: And every day, 14,000 Americans lose their coverage. Common Sense Question: Does that mean 15 million Americans will lose their health care before your government plan starts in 2013?
President Barack Obama: We spend one and a half times more per person on health care than any other country, but we arent any healthier for it. Common Sense Question: Then why do people travel from around the world to receive health care in the United States?
President Barack Obama: Put simply, our health care problem is our deficit problem. Nothing else even comes close. Common Sense Question: Didnt the non-partisan Congressional Budget Office say that the health care plan you have endorsed will add $239 billion to our annual deficits over the next ten years?
President Barack Obama: Reducing the waste and inefficiency in Medicare and Medicaid will pay for most of this plan. Common Sense Question: If we can pay for most of health care reform by controlling waste and inefficiency, then why does a $900 billion health care plan include $820 billion in tax increases?

what a crock...
BTT
The Republican as usual are asking the wrong questions and sounding like they have no principles. It sounds like they are advocating that the program start sooner. It reminds me of when they criticized the stimulus bill for not spending money fast enough.
I was googling around and see I was quoted on Salon after I commented On GW Bush’s speech on FR:
me reactions to Bush’s address to Congress: Andrew Sullivan called it “uninspired but very smart.” On Table Talk (”State of the Shrubbery: GWB’s First Speech Before Congress”), a poster spoofs a probable Free Republic account: “And folks, he was awesome. Poised, dignified, personable, bold. A welcome breath of fresh air in the House chamber, after eight years of evil Clintoonery.”
Over on Free Republic, the response is actually even giddier. “His delivery was excellent, his message was smooth, the choreography was outstanding,” wrote woofie (or was he referring to Brian Boitano, who was skating at the same time on A&E?).

( That was only 8 years ago or so)
So after God knows how many Obama speeches in the eternity that is Obama time here is my assessment:
“His delivery was mediocre, his message was un-believable, the choreography ?....... hell he should be a tap dancing fool,”

Wins First Prize for Polishing this TURD of a Bill....sealed with the lipstick of the ZERO. Too bad the stench is there for all to smell!!!
The MSM Buttsniffers hoist up this turd and expell noxious fumes to the American People!
In just 3 short weeks, 16 million Americans who were in desperate need of medical attention have died. We must act immediately to prevent further deaths.
President Barack Obama: There are now 30 million American citizens who cannot get coverage.
Common Sense Question: On August 20, you said 46 million Americans were uninsured. What happened to 16 million Americans?
Those loud POPs you hear are liberal heads exploding. Rove, you magnificent bastard!
This is AWESOME — great questions based on his speech.
What plan? Where is the Obama plan?
President Barack Obama: Reducing the waste and inefficiency in Medicare and Medicaid will pay for most of this plan.
Common Sense Question: If you know where the waste and inefficiencies are, and how much you can save, why don't you do your job (regardless of the legislation) and eliminate said waste now? Why don't you do your job?
He didn't say American citizens; he said "Americans", as in North, Central, and South Americans!
