This shouldnb’t be the Coast Guard speaking. It should be the President....as Commander in Chief.

When Clinton was in office, his mo was to cover up, shift blame to his political enemies or play down muslim attacks on the US. Seeing as the Left is friends with America’s enemies, it is not their inclination to see Muslim attacks on the US.

That’s the thing - we hardly EVER lose power. I heard sirens, but thought it was for an accident, etc. When the power comes back on, the initial reports were all over the place. The flights at National were stopped for a time - that’s verifiable. The reporters were getting conflicting stories, but now the reporters seem to be on the same page.
I find it hard to believe that the Coast Guard mishandled this “training exercise”. The Coast Guard has a good reputation for being professional and having their act together. Who in the world would decide to have a training exercise at that location, when the POTUS is crossing the bridge on 911? The “incident” happened when the POTUS was crossing the bridge. FOX saying that it was a lack of communication.
The story broke, according to statement from Coast Guard (on FOX) by people monitoring radio calls on the river.
I think I may look into a HAM license...We all need a 20 Meter or 40 Meter frequency to meet on/listen to ... get licensed and we'll see if we can get some more ppl involved ...

I’m not sure what’s happening either, and I agree that it’s a very strange story. Reminds of 9/11/01, when the newsies were insisting that the passenger jet that flew into the WTC was an accident; even the second strike was an “accident” until they realized this story would simply not stand.
For those in the DC area who were working. . . . I’m one of those who thinks something stinketh on the Potomac this morning.
The 24/7 news cycle has turned the news into the equivalent of those guys that listen to police radios.
